I just bought the hdd less than a month,
I think the problem might be my psu not enough power to support the hdd...
thus the hdd fried somehow and got burning smell, so I just turn off the PC and pull the plug from the hdd
the thing is... can I get my data back?
read around about burned hdd and most people say if I buy the same model HDD with the same IC board and just change them I can still access the HDD.

Is it still possible?

or just send to samsung to recover my data.

Building gaming rig [need help]

To play games such PES or FIFA, maybe few FPS if got bored with football games...
other than that watch HD movies and surfing the web... NO to edit video or rendering anything...

Mobo still undecided but searching for usb 3.0 compatible
HD6870 (recommended by friend as the best GC for i3 2100)
RAM not sure yet what brand... 4GB might be enough
HDD 500GB or 1TB
PSU
Casing
DVD drive
Keyboard & mouse come, cheap one will do

monitor no need.

I wanted to get i5, but my friend said that with the kind of games I'm playing i3 is good enough and just put more on graphic card...
If there is anything that I miss let me know...

I accidently used the command prompt Clean on my HDD instead of my pendrive when trying to follow this guide
