Flip flops, U-turns and Contradictions

Hmmm....

Anwar Ibrahim sodomy and sex scandal: In 1997, it was Karpal Singh who brought up the Anwar sex scandal in Parliament, later he was also the one who claimed he was innocent by becoming his lawyer

PSC Lynas: Feb 26, 2012, DAP’s former deputy Tan Seng Giaw called for a press conference to set up a PSC for Lynas. The press conference was attended by Tony Pua and Lim Kit Siang. A month later when a PSC for Lynas was being set up, DAP called for a boycott of it.

Pengerang: Kubang Kerian MP and PAS vice-president Salahuddin Ayub said the RAPID project would be implemented in Johor should PR take over, and it has no plans to reallocate the project. PKR investment and trade bureau chief Wong Chen later suggested scrapping the project .

Choice of Prime Minister: It was Karpal Singh who called for a PC to ask Anwar to resign as leader of Pakatan Rakyat. According to him Anwar had caused enough trouble to our country. Then last year, at the DAP Convention, Karpal Singh suggested that Lim Guan Eng can be the PM. Later on they made a U-turn to say DAP’s choice of Prime Minister was Anwar. Then at PAS’ Muktamar, PAS grassroots suggested that Hadi Awang should be the Prime Minister and Hadi Awang even said it would be syiok to be PM

Lynas: Before Lynas started, DAP Pahang chief Leong Nga Nga claimed that Lynas will benefit our people. After that both Fuziah Salleh and Lim Guan Eng accused Lynas of being a nuclear plant (lie ). PAS Hadi Awang and PAS nuclear expert Dr Rosli claimed that Lynas is safe while Fuziah Salleh and Lim Guan Eng thought otherwise. In PR’s manifesto they claimed that they will stop Lynas if they were to ever take Federal power. Few days later Anwar told an Australia Press that Lynas can stay.
The latest was Kuantan PKR’s own state assemblyman (Indera Mahkota ) who claimed that it is impossible to stop Lynas now. Fuziah Salleh released another statement to contradict both the Indera Mahkota PKR state assemblyman and Anwar that Lynas will be shut down.
IAEA report: The same agency that reported that Malaysia’s Lynas is safe and yet DAP can accuse it of being not safe. When they are being attack for their Solar Plant development in Penang they end up using IAEA report to their defense that the Solar Plant in Penang is safe .

The usage of the word ‘Allah’: When Anwar was in Umno in one of his BTN forum, he claimed that Christian in Malaysia are not allowed to translate their bible into Malay Language. Last Christmas ( 2012 ) Lim Guan Eng claimed that Christians should be allowed to use the word Allah in their bible.
Anwar earlier claimed that he did not have a stand yet and will call for a Pakatan Rakyat meeting before announcing his stand over the Allah issue. Pakatan Rakyat ends up deciding to use the word Allah and that included PAS’ Nik Aziz and PAS deputy Muhammad Sabu. Later on PAS Syura council came out to say no for Christians to use the word Allah. Nik Aziz and Muhammad Sabu again U turned to claim that Christians are not allowed to use the word.

PPSMI: Lim Guan Eng supported the move to teach Mathematics and Science in Malay. Lim Kit Siang thought otherwise and called for the subjects to be taught in English.

Manifesto: Before March 2008, Pakatan Rakyat pledged to fulfill their manifesto promises. After March 2008 , Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim claimed that the manifesto is not a promise.

DAP and PAS partnership: Earlier it was DAP who broke off their partnership with PAS and they even claimed that as long as PAS never abandon their hudud and Islamic cause then they will never join hand together with them.
That included Karpal Singh who said that if PAS want to set up an Islamic State and implement hudud then they had to cross over his dead body first.

Bersih’s Ambiga on corruption: They called for zero corruption. Later on a lots of Pakatan Rakyat leaders got hit by a list of corruption issues. Then in one of Ambiga’s press statement, she claimed it is okay for small corruption and the country should focus on bigger corruption when earlier they shouted for zero corruption.

Nik Aziz’s retirement: He had challenged Mahathir to resign and according to him Mahathir is too old and had been around too long. He also said that if Mahathir retires, he will also retire. Mahathir has retired, Nik Aziz has still to do so. He plans to contest for another round.

Bersih: They claimed that they will never pay their supporters. During Bersih 3.0 , Nik Aziz himself admitted that he did pay PAS members from Kelantan to KL to protest.

PTPTN: It was Anwar who founded and started PTPTN when he was Education Minister back then in the cabinet. Today he is also the one who asks that PTPTN be abolished.

Toll: It was Pakatan Rakyat who promised to abolish toll and it was also in their latest manifesto. Now Lim Guan Eng wants to build two new bridge with two additional tolls in Penang

Nepotism: It was part of Pakatan Rakyat’s struggle for decades and accused BN of practicing nepotism. In PKR we have father (Anwar), mother (Wan Azizah) and daughter (Nurul Izzah).
In DAP we have father (Lim Kit Siang ), son (Lim Guan Eng), daughter (Lim Hui Ying). In DAP we also have father (Karpal Singh), son (Gobind Singh and Jagdeep Singh). In DAP also, we have Ngeh Koo Ham and Nga Kor Ming (cousins).

Permanent Residence: Lim Guan Eng accused Ng Yen Yen for once being a PR residence in Australia. A Penang DAP state exco holds a New Zealand PR. Even his wife does, according Chinese businessmen in Penang. All his children have settled down in New Zealand and he also has bought homes and land in New Zealand – even as his DAP leaders hypocritically attacked Dr Ng Yen Yen.
The fact is that Ng held the PR when her children were studying in Australia. She was not active in politics and she was a doctor then. But what can we say about Phee Boon Poh, the serving DAP state executive councillor.

Lim Guan Eng and Xiau Hong affair: When reporters asked Betty Chew about it, she declined comments and asked reporters to approach Lim Guan Eng. Later on when Xiau Hong told press that she had no comment about it, only then did Betty Chew come out to deny it.
