3G vs EDGE calls

Hi Guys,

Do you all find it difficult to make call without 3G on? Well, actually after trying quite number of time experiment the call performance with 3G on and off.

With 3G on, i'm able to make call easily but without 3G, means on EDGE, i found that it quite difficult to make a call without failure. Usually 2 out of 5 calls are failed.

I'm not experiment with the call quality switching automatically btw 3G and EDGE. It merely initial call on successfully with 3G enable and disable separately.

Am i the only one experience such situation? Btw, i'm on Singtel line but i do experience the same problem on Maxis line in KL (on EDGE only, no 3G with my Maxis line).

Hope you guys can share some experience.

PS: on latest 2.1 firmware.

HELP! Problem with NETGEAR WGT624 router

Modem: Not Required
Router: Netgear WGT624

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Never success to get dynamic IP from ISP
Problem frequency: always
Problem description: My wireless router failed to get dynamic IP from ISP whenever get connected. It is working with D-Link wireless router which i borrowed from fren. So i suggested that it is not the problem from the ISP. I sent back to the shop and get repaired but the problem still exist. It's same when i tried at my fren house who using the same ISP.

From 2 tested cases, the router is working with streamyx connection (which using a modem) and as well working with PenangFON with the netgear router connected to D-Link router.

So any1 knows wat is happening to my router? Is a router problem or ISP?
