I was considering purchasing a car between the price range of 150-250k, but I'm uncertain whether a less expensive ADAS system would provide a seamless driving experience.
I tried driving the XC60, and it felt great with the ADAS feature on the highway, but it's beyond my budget.

Hi all,

I have a 1070 and after 1 year of usage, one of the fans stopped working.

The warranty ended. I wonder if I can purchase part to fix it myself, or any shop that can fix a fan below RM100?

All help is much appreciated.

What should I do with a spoiled 390x?

Hi Sifus,

I'm running r9 390x for gaming early this year and last week the card just crash or freeze randomly. This week, it went black screen everytime after loaded the Windows.

What can I do with it other than abandon or throw it away? Warranty ended.

Any quick & dirty fix for small water leaking?

Hi, any hacks allow me to stop or redirect the water to another place?
Had spent thousands to replace tiles & apply the waterproof layer on 1st floor, it stopped most but still have a drop or two per day.

The water came from the concrete wall & the drop ain't visible but in long run, it will affect my plaster ceiling installation.

Below hacks are in my mind:

1. Stick a sponge on the water leaking area, it will keep the water from dropping and maybe will dry later?
2. drill a hole and put a pipe there redirect the water to another existing pipe.

Is PU Injection a long term solution?

Hi Sifu,

My 2nd floor bathroom not bigger than 100 sqf and there is one small patch water leak to the ground floor.

I got two quotations from different contractors

1. Redo tiles and apply waterproof layer. RM5k excludes tiles and materials.
2. do PU injection on the first floor, about RM2.4k

Which solution should I go for and can I DIY the PU injection?

has PU injection improved? I saw thread from 2011 saying it can't last.

Electrical Wire

Hi,

While my unit undergoing renovation, I noticed my contractor is using 2.5mm china made wire with smaller copper for 1.0HP, 1.5HP aircond and water heater.
I've compare it with standard Sirim approved wire, and it's indeed thinner & easier to bent.

Should I request for a change? I worried heavy usage results wire melt then lead a fire in the house.

I'm looking for less power hunger card. R9 390X (scored 8,276 in PassMark) has better performance than RX 480 (scored 7,869).

This thing is a beast. It's an excellent graphics card that trades blows with the GTX 980 at 1080p, and outright wins at higher resolutions.

All games well except titanfall 2, which has artifacts that only happen on this card.

Item(s) conditions: Tip top. just played Battlefield Hardline last week, running well @ 1080 High setting, but got throttled by my poor CPU (should be able to run in Ultra).
TwinFrozr known for cooling. Max temperature around 75c. the 2nd fan will only spin (silent feature) when fan speed over 80% or temp over 75% ( Check via Radeon Setting)

7970 outperformed 280 and has the almost identical spec with 280x. It's slightly power hunger but from price point, this is definitely better.
