iPhone 4 power button jammed and keep vibrating

Hey guys, I got a problem with gf's phone..

1. Power button is jammed for quite some time. Didn't fix it before. So basically dead button.

2. Problem today, phone call came in and the screen turned black and kept vibrating until now. However still can call in, so I'm thinking its more of a hardware issue? Anyway I can't even reset (home + power button) coz the top button kong already.

So what to do?

I googled so far I found, let battery drain first. Then I am thinking plugging it to pc will get itunes to reboot/power on the device again??

As of now, I'm hoping above works so that I can restore it.. yes the phone is jailbroken. Thats why can't send it in to Maxis first.. Zzz... FML.

Any ideas you would like to share pls help out ya.. thanks.

I'm thinking to use pvc trunking to conseal an extension cable/wire.

Where can I find one that just fit just a single wire. Don't want anything bigger as it will be more of an eye sore.

Can find in any hardware shops? Just afraid it will be those bigger standard size ones.

Does grout and tiles need to be sealed?

I'm wondering if tiles and grouts need to be sealed?

Have been google-ing on this and found that majority consensus is to seal the grout.. because after a while grout will be easily stained since it is very porous.. unless an epoxy grout was used.

The next one is do I need to seal tiles? From what I googled is that glazed tiles does not need to.

I recently spilled some acid detergent and kena one of my tile on my concrete table top.. was kind of surprise that the tile was stain pretty quick. The stain is not that obvious but when under lighting can see it.

So now I am just wondering if I should seal just the grouts or the entire tiles as well.

Any sifu out there to shed some light?

Dust cover for furnitures during renovation

Will be doing some light renovation work at my kitchen soon and I expect my living hall to be dusty.

Have minimal furniture and appliances that would like to protect them from dust. Any suggestion of what I can use and where I can buy them.

I was initially thinking about getting cheap cloth at Kamdar, but not sure how well it will deter the dust.

Google something interesting:

http://www.uhaul.com/MovingSupplies/Covers...t-Cover?id=2564

But have no idea where to get them locally.. acehardware? not so hopeful though.

Any suggestion will be great!

Stained Bathroom Floors

Hi guys, can anyone advice me on how to remove these stains from my bathroom floors?

I am not certain what caused this stain but my guess could be untidiness of developer's contractor doing the plaster ceiling.

I check with my own contractor, he adviced me to use a metal brush to remove it. Initially was thinking of pouring acid to remove the stains but he advice me agaisnt it, as acid will damage the cement.

Hoping to get more advice from all sifus here.

Thx in advance!

New Rig for Gaming (eg: SC2, Crysis & Diablo 3)

Hi guys,

Since PC fair is coming and SC2 is recently out. Am currently thinking of getting a new rig from scratch. So need pros to comment

Usage is for purely gaming (SC2, Crysis & in the future: Diablo 3?) and the usual day to day online use.

My budget is approx 2 - 2.3k on rig alone. So I do not need to include monitor, keyboards, mouse and speaker.

The rig will be paired with a Dell UltraSharp U2311H lcd. Will also be using headphones at the mean time.. 5.1 sound may come in future expansion.

I've checked out the recommendation list from kingkingyyk (many thanks for helping n00bs like me!). This is what I am currently planning with abit of change:

QUOTE

AMD Athlon II x4 635 - RM309

MSI 770-C45 - RM239

Kingston Value 2x2GB DDR3 RM - RM139

MSI GTX460 Cyclone 1GB - RM830

Samsung SpinPoint F3 750GB - RM154 (May go for 1TB instead)

LiteOn SATA 22x - RM79

Thermaltake V3 - RM140 (Do I need to add additional fans? Seems like only come with 1 at the rear)

FSP Saga+ 450W - RM165

Total: RM2,055

I am also contemplating if I should swap with:

QUOTE

Phenom II x4 955 BE - RM509 (Is the RM200 worth it for increase of gaming performance?)

G-BYTE GA-770T-USB3 - RM339 (For USB3.0 and optical out.. I may wanna use my astro mixamp with it, besides that is there anything lacking from it compared to MSI770-C45? Can also recommend me other with budget aprox. RM350)

Thinking of heading to viewnet on LYP since got a couple of good comments from forummers.. but some stuff such as MSI GTX460 Cyclone 1GB& FSP Saga+ 450W not listed in their pricelist.. how do I go about it?

Also is there a charge if they assemble the PC for me?

Today, woke up and looking forward to conquer Lost Planet mission 07 but my console (not modded) which is 6 weeks old couldn't start the game.

Put in the cd, reading.. reading.. reading.. 'open tray' status on dashboard (not physically).

.....

Tried with other cd like GoW, R6V, GRAW, Lost Planet and Burnout.

GoW was able to load once out of alot of times.

R6V could could load twice out of many times. Took 1 minute to load though.

GRAW, Lost Planet and Burnout couldn't load at all.

Sent it to GH for repair and did some quick test with Marvel Alliance which could load 3 out of 3 times. GoW couldn't be read even once.

Apparently Djinn said he has never encounter this problem before among his customer. I guess I'm his first.

It's such a shame really, just gotten Lost Planet LE yesterday evening, didn't even get to try the multiplayer. Plus I just loaded my live account early this month with 3 month prepaid.

Well, hope this post will get some of u mentally prepared when you encounter it. But of course touch wood la!

I hope to see all of you soon!

iv'N Workout Journal

After a long while of proscratinating, here's my workout journal.

Here are my current stats

Height: 165cm. Before lifting is was 168cm. Either my spine and joints has been compressed or unless I meassured my height wrongly before, which is highly unlikely -.-"
Weight: 72-73kg
Bodyfat: 24% region

My current personal records while on Mark Rippetoe's program with completion of 3x5 exceptional of deadlift which is 1x5.

Squats: 80kg (+30kg)
Bench Press: 47.5kg (+15kg)
Deadlift: 95kg (+55kg)
Military Press:42.5kg(+10kg)
Pendlay Rows:55kg (+27.5kg)

The poundages in the brackets shows how much progress I have made so far since I started. I have already done 19 workouts, 6 weeks on the program.

I have reseted weights for squats, bench and miltary press at least once.

For maintenance, I would need to consume 2439.36 calories.

Currently my main goal is to bulk up to 75kg. Thinking of 80kg, but most prolly by then I need to get much bigger pants. Yes, alot of pants. So thats holding me back. Anyway I try to consume 300-500 calories above my maintenance everyday.

I've gain approx 4-5kg since I started Rippetoe. So I guess my I've been eating above my maintenance. Body fat % has remained the same.

I used to do cardio on my off days, usually at 60-70% target heart rate on the threadmill for 45 minutes. However it seems that it slows my recovery before my next workout, esp legs since squats can be brutal. So i've thrown cardio out of window for now.

Anyway that's bout it, I shall post all my future workout here as well as my daily diet. I hope you guys can help by giving comments. I still can't count calories accurately, I usually just simply estimate most of the time. lol.

Which muscle part is the strongest

I acknowledge everyone is unique and different, but lets assume in general k..

In my opinion, strongest muscle (largest?) to the weakest group would be:

1. Legs
2. Back
3. Chest
4. Shoulders
5. Arms (Tris then Bis)

What do you think? I wonder if many can shoulder press more than their bench.
