As a PC fans, im really want my own style PC and at the end i had built this toy.
I took about half year to design and modified it, it's not easy to finish your work especially you dont have enough resource and tool to support with. I even gave up when i struggling at front panel design, dont know which style i had to mod. After front panel, I had to think at the power on/off, HDD LED, cable management & etc. It really faint me up when i sleeve the PSU cable, moreover it's a non modular PSU with a bunch of wire.
My personal advice for new DIYer: Dont mod your casing if your mind are not ready (Tools, hardware, money, design & time), im sure you will stop at somewhere. If you had start it, better finish in 1 week or you will be bored starting second week.

So here's the my casing's first look, its damn ugly...
Its basically an oldskool PC with Pentium 4 socket 478 which my mum bought me almost ten years ago.
I had dismantled all parts inside and pending for hard mod.

My front panel main material will be base on this two recycle stuff.
Its combination of waste plastic car plate & heavy vehicle air filter.

You know what, im just using a makita grinder all the way.
Nothing is impossible, im glad i had make it

It's really damn hard to hold & control, require huge hand strength to hold the tool and cut it slowly from mins to mins.
I spend one day just to cut all those hole and then spend another day to plan & cut the front panel.

Sound card & DAC/AVR

Good quality sound card (Xonar/Elite/Auzentech) or a medium level 2nd hand DAC/AVR (Marantz/Onkyo)
Which total budget should not exceed RM1500

Wonder which is the best investment for a music + movie lover by using a pc.
I recently had study and research a lot of information through website but still cant decide which are the better.
From what i had learnt about analog and digital,

Analog, using good quality sound card >> 7.1 pc speaker system = good
Analog, using onboard sound >> 7.1 pc speaker system = craps
Digital, output by good quality sound card >> DAC/AVR >> 7.1 pc speaker system = waste because the sound is directly transfer from pc to DAC/AVR
Digital, output by cheapo onboard mobo spdif/coxial >> DAC/AVR >> 7.1 pc speaker system = good

Which means if i have a good DAC, then the sound card is useless + i can upgrade my DAC & speaker in future.
Am i right ??? Please correct me if im wrong...

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Line connection hang and need to call custcare to reset.

Recently i change my modem from belkin to aztech because when i ping streamyx dns, i got many timeout.
I suspect my modem got problem so i change.
After changing, i cant even connect to streamyx. So nvm just change back to previous (belkin), same problem occur.
Two of the modem above i had test it in my fren house, no problem, connected very well.
So i call streamyx custcare, they said my connection hang did not response. They reset back to me and im connecting it with belkin untill now.

1. I use Aztech last 2 years ago, no problem. then i change to belkin coz i need wireless, also no problem untill now. When i change back to aztech last few days, problem happen. Can someone tell me whats the problem???

PentiumIV 2.66ghz socket 478 northwood, mobo asus p4p800-x
Im currently overclocking it untill 3.0ghz, with only this setting, others is default. (150x20, at 600mhz fsb)
I run it on occt about 1 hour without problem, but after my computer uptime about 6 hours,
only the mouse pointer become a bit lag or delay when i move it, others no problem. Temperature 36-39
Why huh?? Can someone provide me a solution...

Halo here, im using a asus laptop F5RL series with Intel C2D processor T5450 1.66ghz edition.
I had a 512mb, 1gb and 2gb ddr2 ram, and when i plug into it,
bios only show a total number of 1792mb RAM, windows xp 32bit version also the same.
Can someone explain to me why like that huh...

iexplore.exe keeps autorunning no matter how

When i open my task manager, i found that the iexplore.exe keeps running all the time.
No matter how did you turn off many times, it's keeps auto running.
I think it's a spyware or malware, coz i had experienced 1 time and i just reformat my pc coz dunno how to fix it.
I had cleaned my internet temporary files, cookies, forms data, windows temporary files
, but the problem still happen.
Can someone guide me to fix this problem?

Im planning to buy a new laptop.
After browsing the net, i found that HP 520 and NEC versa E6200 were my choice.
Because im not a expert in laptop, so have to ask your all opinion.
