Streamyx identified Portforward?

dear Streamyx user,

I am still have lots to learn from you guys in this P2P business, however I noticed something pretty strange, I wonder if you have this experience as well.

I just swapped to Official BitTorrent client and glad to find that I have 85kBs at peak. Then I decided to follow the advice to do the port forward with www.portforward.com. After that my speed slumped to >3kBs.

2 days later, I got pretty suspecious with this portforwarding thingy, so I decided to delete the entry from my modem admin and changed the port to something else. After restarting, I got my speed back to normal (about 30kBs with average seeds/peers).

I was wondering is it possible for Streamyx to identify the P2P user thru port forwarding?

Thankyou in advance for sharing.

Phi
