What You Will Do:
Develop and configure RPA robots

What You Should Have:

Here I would just like to highlight that despite the many complaints abound for TM customer service, I have had the pleasure of dealing with a fast and responsive team that managed to solve my problem within a day or two.

My phone line (and hence streamyx) was dead so I called up customer service at 100. Explained the problem, eventhough it was already 6pm I asked if they could send someone over. Understandably Mr. Operator said he'll see what he can do about it, if no one was around then maybe next day they can send someone over. First of all they will take a look at the port near my area to see if it's a problem with that, if not then they will have to come in the house to take a closer look. Since I'll be at work whole day, I told them to come over look at the port first, only then see how.

So the next day came and while at work, I got a call from a technician asking about the problem and so I described it to him. Asked him to go look at the port first and see how, he was very polite throughout. By the time I got home in the evening, to my delight the DSL light on my modem was on! So yeah they restored and fixed my phone line, otherwise I won't be able to type this now.

Next day, I was so busy at work, I didn't realized I had 3 missed calls and 3 sms, apparently from TMnet saying that they could not reach me on the phone and will try to call me again to check on the status of my problem.

Then finally on this afternoon, I got a call from another operator asking me about the problem and whether it's been resolved. I happily told him yes and he can go ahead to close the ticket on this issue.

And that was my whole experience. I hope TM can keep up the good work on this and if anyone from the company is reading this, my sincere appreciation for the very good customer service experience. This is what customer service is all about and I hope other local companies can emulate them. And if you're as fortunate as me to get this similar experience, I encourage you to spend a few minutes to post and convey your appreciation - this is the least we can do on our part to helping these companies continuously improve their level of customer service. At the end of the day, it is a win-win situation for everyone.

joomla site hacked

One of my joomla sites got hacked...again.

this time a different vulnerability...i have already patched it since the last time however those hackers seem to be targeting it again although via a different hack.

i really dun have time to keep track of all the security updates that joomla release...further each time there's a new update, it'll be quite a hassle to update my joomla as i have some added some custom scripts into the existing ones...so it'll be a pain.

so my question is, who is to be blamed here (ignore the hacker)

1) myself for not updating joomla religiously
2) the web hosting company
3) joomla

i know its a good practice to do 1), but come on, joomla releases security fixes once every other month (or so)...so it's quite a hassle to do the update, what more when i have all the custom codes. plus this is not my full time job.

for 2), for sure the hosting company will say 'it's joomla's problem...our other websites on our servers dun face hacking problems'.

for 3), the joomla developers keep on harping that it's the hosting company AND developer responsibility to secure the website.

so my question is, could the hosting company be at least liable for the hack? this particular hack, the hacker managed to copy some scripts into one of joomla's folders, and - best part - delete an entire joomla folder, causing my website to be inaccessible. so now the hacker can exploit joomla to create and delete files/folders in the server!! is this truly a file/folder permission issue with the server, or could it also be tied to joomla?

im asking this because im thinking of changing the hosting company to someone more commercial like exabytes but im concerned that it can also happen there - that just because i forget/neglect to update joomla, my website is vulnerable and just a sitting duck waiting to be hacked again. so if anyone with experience having their joomla site hosted in a reliable, popular and commercial hosting company, i would like to hear your opinions and experiences on this. cheers.

switch problem

network sifoos...need your help in this.

my adsl modem just kena struck lightning, so went to buy new one, aztech ds600eu (please tellme its a good one!?). everything's fine, but only problem is its really slow connecting our 2 pcs to the aztech switch that we have here into the new router modem. if i directly connect either 1 pc into the modem, its fast and furiuos. but when the 2 pcs go thru the switch into the router, we still can connect to a webpage (sometimes) but very slowly. even going to the modem admin screen could get slow.

IS THE SWITCH FRIED AS WELL? if its fried, then how come sometimes can connect? ive tried rebooting and restarting, even changing from dhcp to static ip addresses. still the same problem. and i've tried to connect thru all 4 ports of the switch. same thing.

any ideas??

Case cooling help

Cooling sifoos....pls help...

Ive just got my new system housed in a Centurion 5...quited pleased with it except for the relatively warm temperatures on stock cooling. The amd 3200 cpu is kinda ok, idling/loading at 38/44 like that...which i suppose is acceptable. BUT:

1) the 7900gt idles at 54, and can go up to 75 when playing oblivion or doing 3dmark05. i think this is hotter than many ppl would like it...
2) got 2 HDDs, according to smartfan, HDD#1 a 200gb sata is usually at 60(!), with the little fire icon next to it haha (whereas HDD#2 120gb pata normally at 30)

should i be worried with either 1) or 2)?

im looking to improve the airflow in the case as cheap as possible, will replacing the stock 8cm intake and 12cm exhaust fans improve the temps? or shall i add more/better fans in the case? i think the cabling kinda sucky too...might do something about it.

how about hard disk cooler..i saw one here selling for 7 bux, will this work?

if a pic of my case helps i will post it tonite...thx for any help!!
