Worth an upgrade?

Hey all,

I'm thinking of upgrading my one-year old XFX 7900 GS to...i guess you know what already - the 8800 GT. While an upgrade will definitely gives a performance boost, i'm wondering if that is enough to warrant a change. See, i'm having a crappy AMD X2 3800+ and i'm quite certain that that would be the bottleneck. How bad this cpu gonna hamper the performance of the 8800 GT? Have anyone got an idea? So do you people still think it is still worth to spend the money. Let me hear your opinions. Thank you.

p/s: i have got 2gb of DDR2 667Mhz RAM and running on Win XP Professional.
