Need help

My desktop PC cannot detect microphone. I tried the connectors at back and front panel, same problem.
The mic is confirmed in good working condition.
Is it due to motherboard? It is Intel DG965RY. Or driver?
All functions of this PC including headphone are fine except this mic issue.
Could anyone please help?

MF X-can heat problem

I bought the musical fidelity x-can headphone amp from a forumer.

The amp was ok except some transistors are quite hot.

Recently I opened it to have a check on the temperature of the transistors, however I saw some brown marks on the PCB around the legs of the transistors. I think this is not a good sign due to extreme temperature. The amplifier is still working though.

I am thinking to send it to someone who know this amp to have a look. I called the local distributor but I think the phone number is wrong.

Additional information: I listened to the amp not more than 10 times and each time less than half an hour. I only swept one of the tubes and the transistors around that tube seems to have more serious problem.

Hope some of you can help or give me some advises. Thanks for your help in advance.
