Hi all,

Need your help, i got the Mi Band 6 with password protected, i only use it as watch and now i would like to explorer other function, i don't have the password or Mi App login (this watch used by my kids long time ago), is there a way to hardware reset ? i saw some video from google where need to "cut-off" the LCD screen to open the case and short-circuit 2 pins in the motherboard. is this the only way ? Once cut-off, i don't think i can glue it back properly myself.

Hi,

i need some professional advise on desktop computer damaged by flood, i'm trying to help the autism centre which the whole center was in the flood on the recent flood.

i am not really a professonal IT hardware guy, but i do have some experience in PC assembly (10 years ago)

do you think any possible way rescue and re-use those computer, of course with minimum cost, they are non-profit center which rely on donation.

i tried to google around, and found mostly advise to use isopropyl alcohol to remove the crap/impurities that would have been left behind from the water and let it dry for few days, and try to switch on the computer ?

any professional advise is much appreciated.

Bought the above speaker recently but i noticed the speaker having some delay in sound whenever i switch the youtube video if my connection via micro-usb, but when i connect via bluetooth, no such issue, is it my speaker is faulty or it is really like that when connection via micro-usb ? Issue on installing SSD on Asus A456U

would like to seek some advise on my issue. i am adding in SSD hardisk into my Asus A456u. I use Macrium Reflect to clone my hardisk content to new SSD

1st attempt - Replace the existing HDD

system auto launch Bios and no Hardisk detected (can't detect the new SSD), can't proceed further, even if exit the BIOS and it will come back to Bios again

2nd attempt - use new SSD on HDD caddy (remove the DVD Drive)

system boot up using the old hardisk, the new SSD can be accessed in windows 10 but not detected in BIOS hence i could not set it to boot from this drive

3nd attempt - found some recommendation in internet to disable Fast Boot in BIOS

SSD still not detected but i received the prompt (refer screen shot) to select bootable drive which i able to boot from SSD

questions :

a) Is there something wrong with my BIOS ? why can't it detect the new SSD ?
b) it seem to me the SSD is detected under windows level (hence the prompt to select boot drive appear)

any other way i could use or try out to make the laptop to boot from SSD without the prompt ?
