Maxis Fiber Broadband Service

I recently subscribed to the Maxis Fiber Broadband service and is very unhappy with the Thompson router. I tried to replace the Thompson router with my Cisco wag160N but to no avail (via PPPoE). I wonder if it is possible?

Anyway, I attempted to Login to the "web based management" of the fiber optic modem but failed. Then, i read somewhere saying that the huawei device does not enable DHCP by default so I tried setting a static IP (192.168.1.125/24) and then tried accessing 192.168.1.1 via the web browser but failed. Furthermore, I cannot identify the model of my modem... (i'm not even sure if it is from huawei).

Please view the picture and help me identify the model of my modem. Besides, do advice me on how to configure the WAG160N as wireless router (replacing the Thompson) with the given modem. Thank you.

P/S: I hope I posted this in the right section. Posted in "Hardware" as my main purpose is to identify the model of the modem.

hp citibank shell promotion

recently i was entitled to a citibank shell credit card and hp promotion. the promotion is either RM799+150 for a hp compaq pc700 notebook or a desktop computer for RM290+150. i would like to know if anyone bought the laptop here and can i have more of the specification like whether wifi is capable, type of RAM as in DDR or DDR2 and so on. thanks, btw, is it worth buying?
