Unable to detect harddisk

Recently I had help my friend to install Vista Home Basic. But I meet the problem as sometime when want to on the pc, Unable to detect hard disk error message was show-up. But according to him, previously with XP, theres no such prob occur.

I had test the hard disk with Seatools and HDtune at another PC, no error and bad sector found.

so, i guess should be prob of mobo? btw, there are corsair 1g+kingston 1g on the mobo(with this cause?)

May I know installed new OS will cause such issue o not??

LAN limited or no connectivity

Personal equipment
Modem: Linksys AM300
LAN Port: Integrated on ASUS motherboard

Problem details
First occurence of problem: While I try to uninstall my antivirus NOD32, LAN connection show me unplug then follow by LAN limited or no connectivity. I had try to re-install LAN port driver and disable/enable LAN port, but the problem still exist. I also try to restart and shutdown my PC many times, but the problem still exist.

I do try connect the network cable to another removable NIC from my modem router. But still the same problem.

My question here:
1. Does installation/uninstall of antivirus NOD32 will affected network connection?

Any idea how can I do?

hi sifus,

Recently i had bought a new Powercolor Ati 9600 PRO agp GC to install on my fren pc, but its fail to detect my AGP GC.
When I plug my LCD connector to GC input, monitor screen will show change to sleep mode or Input Video Cable.

I have no idea any else I need to set at BIOS in order to enable/detect the AGP slot.
Anyone could give a help?

I had use Everest to find out Mobo name.
Motherboard Name : Sapphire i865 Motherboard
Bios : Pheonix Award bios

I plan to develop a web-based system that can help me easy to maintain and monitor my business plan. Just small business but I wish to take it as a practical for future plan.

Few feature I would like to add in:
- Stock/Material in-out db
- Supplier db
- Customer db
- Sales db
- Job schedule db
- Staff db(in future)

After some research, i found out normally use:
Language : PHP
Database : MySQL
Server : Apache

So, may I know those Language, DB, Server as listed is more compatible and easy to develop? Or any others idea? And this system maybe able to use in network in future.

Guru2 here can give me some comment on it?

1. I currently using AMD X2 platform, i do like compare it with Intel E2xxx platform cpu performance. is it a big gap btw this 2 platform?

AMD platform :
AMD X2 4000+ G1
MSI K9N Neo V.1

Intel platform :
Intel Dual-Core E2160/E2180
Abit P35-E or Gigabyte P35-DS3L(any else budget mobo recommended?)

p/s: plan to OC to 2.8Ghz-3Ghz if possible.

2. Can recommended any budget PSU for my rig?
budget : 100++
