I have a TP-LINK TL-SX1008 switch that stopped working after a power outage. Most of the time, it doesn’t power on at all. On the rare occasions it does, none of the ports function properly. Sometimes a port may work, but it only negotiates at 100Mbps. It’s a strange issue that likely requires a technician to diagnose and repair. Based on preliminary observations, it appears to be a power-related problem.

PETALING JAYA: The AstraZeneca vaccine will now be made available to all residents in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, on a voluntary first-come-first-serve basis.

Science, technology and innovation minister Khairy Jamaluddin said a special vaccination centre will be set up to administer the vaccine.

Dear experts,

I am wondering if there are any owners of Ayuria lurking in LYN that can provide some insightful advise?

I am interested to get one unit there, this will be my first house for own stay (I have other investment units). This 12 years old condo is completed on 2008, so it is rather old. The sub-sale price is averaging at around 1m for a 1.6k sqft unit (~RM625/sqft). I have checked out a few units, the maintenance is well done, environment is lovely, and the building design language aged rather well for it's age.

Here comes my main concerns, is it wise to buy a 12 years old condo at 1 million? I am very concern on the things that I can't see, ie the underlying piping and wiring. Am I expected to fork out large sum of money for maintenance? Any owners can chip in some info? Thank you.

My car just got stolen this morning, near Jalan Kuching/Jalan Ipoh, KL area I parked outside condo overnight, and it was gone in the morning.

Update windows while keeping devices disabled

I have a Samsung laptop that has a busted dedicated GPU. Whenever I enabled the dGPU, the computer will freeze up and not responding, until I forced reboot the laptop using physical power button. I have to keep it disabled, use only the Intel integrated GPU, and forced Windows not to update my driver, as it will occasionally re-enabled the dGPU after a driver update, forcing me to go into safe-mode to disabled it.

Recently, Windows 10 is forcing me to update to v1709, and after snoozing it for couple of weeks, it just updates by itself. After this update, on the first mandatory restart, the screen will goes blank, which is likely caused by it trying to re-enabling the dGPU. And after a couple of force reboot using physical power button, it will revert back to the Windows before the update, which has the dGPU disabled.

The Windows will try to update itself again, and this loop will goes on and on, and is costing my efficiency. I wonder if there is a way to let Windows know that I really DO NOT want to re-enabled the dGPU.

There is no option in the BIOS to disable the dGPU either.

Other step that I have tried is trying to go into safe-mode before the rollback, but I couldn't get past the blank screen.

My last resort is disable any future Windows update, but I don't wish to miss out on security patches.

Any advice is welcome, thank you.
