regarding memory card in phone

heyz! i hav a question to ask...

if the phone's memory slot states dat the maximum memory card dat can be used is 4gb (for example), can i slot in a memory card higher than dat (e.g. 8gb)? will there be any consequences?

Hi there!

I'm looking for The Corr's CD albums, such as "Forgiven Not Forgotten", "Talk On Corners", "In Blue", etc. Is there any shop in KL or PJ that is still selling these albums?

By the way, their music are so nostalgic. I spent my childhood listening to these songs on radio. Now I finally remembered them again! Hope anyone out there can help me.

how to burn in an earphone?

hey there!

I was wondering about burning in an earphone. Let's say I have a newly bought in-ear monitor, and an mp3 player.

1. do i leave it overnite to burn in?

2. what types of songs should i use to burn in?

3. what's the appropiate volume to burn in?

hope anyone can help out there. use to "burn in" my ep 630. tak sangka my ep 630 actually "burned". lolz.

SQ and Mp3 players - what's the connection?

This is the question many many many people has asked me:

What does SQ gotta do with MP3 players?

the debate goes like this: The player just store the data (thru flash or disk) and run the program that plays the data. Sq are actually based on the output itself (eg. earphones, speakers, etc). So basically, if you're buying a mp3 player, you're actrually playing for its' interface, user friendliness, brand name, etc.

Is that true? Or does different mp3 player have different SQ?

Hope anyone can share in this forum. =D

Enquries about telco!

hey there!

im planning to get a new number, but im still deciding on which prepaid telco to select: digi, celcom, happy, celcom, u-mobile... etc. I have a habit of sending many many sms. Sms is quite important for me (addiction? ), and i don't usually make calls (sometimes, but very little)...

which prepaid telco should i use? hope to get suggestions in terms of sms rates (of coz la) and reliability (cos sometimes sms cant be sent... esp to singapore from kl...).

If got any other suggestion about other things involving the telcos, pls feel free to post. and if wanna hav battle of telcos here, go ahead, but be peaceful we juz celebrated our anniversary independence day, rite?

Buying Music CD

heya there!

usually i download mp3s using bittorrent (yes i'm making a confession here) and only few songs are from CDs. But now im making a merdeka resolution (lol-ed) to buy oni original CD [note: download music not good quality at all...]

the question is: where can i buy good sources of CD? any good producer to recommend (eg. universal, sony bmg, etc...)?

and other thing: any good program to convert it (rip it) into good mp3 format? hope can get really accurate converter...

any other advise about ripping original CD into mp3 and upload into mp3 player is welcomed

when i checked my mp3 player, it said that it can support an audio file format called LC-ACC... may i noe what format is this? it sounds like there relevence to ATRAC... ah... another question... what's this ATRAC format as well?

yikes... let me reform my question again...

can anyone share any information about LC-ACC and ATRAC?

i dunno anything about this at all... all i noe is mp3 mp3 mp3...

(SE) k800i vs. k810i

yikes! I'm still still still deciding for a phone. Now it has come to two models: k800i and k810i.

I would like to know: does anyone here frequently use photofix feature? I believe that both camera function are totally the same, right? So, to me, i think the usefulness of the photofix feature will decide my choice.

If there is any other significant difference between these two models (other than size), hope that you can share as well.

Hi there!

I have been asking again and again in the recommendations forum and lots of people are being helpful, so I would like to thank them very much . BUT recently, I went to plaza lowyat to do surveying (my target was K800i), and i realized the phone is relatively LARGE. So maybe I'm still reconsidering.

Is there any good phone with 2MP? And I mean as good as k800i. I prefer still SE or NOKIA. Budget under RM900. Hope that you can help.

How to amplify my mp3 player?

hey there!

Currently I'm listening to music from my hookup: mp3 player (sony A-726) -> speakers (edifier S2.1M). The thing is, I believe that my mp3 player is not loud enough (which it should be, so that when connected to earphone, won't kill your ears ).

I want to amplify it, but advices from the experts tells me that inside S2.1M there is an amplifier already, so by connecting another amplifier to it, two amplifier will blow up (i think he meant it literally =X)

Therefore, I want to ask: is there any devices that does amplifying but not an amplifier? if possible, can also enhanced sound quality (smooth bass, clear sound), and also a bit portable (for party use ).

p/s: what's a DAC? sounds interesting...

ARGH!!!

I dropped my mp3 player and a part of the metallic side is dented. But that's not the issue.

I wanna noe... does it affect the sound quality? I thought that damaging the inside of the mp3 player will damage the data, making the data corrupted and unreadable. But my mp3 player is still fine, yet I could feel a little detioration in the sound quality. Can that happen? Or izzit my imaginations?
