<need help> How much should I request?

Hi all, I need help. About last week I received a request to view my resume on Jobstreet, then I just choose "Apply" (only 2 options : apply or reject). Today, I receive a call ask me to go interview. I think the timing they call me is very weird, 8.30pm, are they still working? And they call using mobile number.

Myself is a QA Manager for an automotive parts manufacturer about 1 year plus, me and my team(about 4 local & 3 foreign workers) handle ISO 9001 & ISO/TS16949 related work, all quality related job, all R&D and also help to look after the production since the production manager refuse to move into production floor. Total working experience is about 9.5 years. A degree holder. Currently my company provide a car with full maintenance, RM500 petrol fix allowance, toll claim by bill & phone. My basic is 5.5k (and will increase by this or next month, appraisal done). Company provide 13% EPF. The bad thing is me & my team almost have to do all thing in the company as other people don't want to do it or can't do it correctly. The company turnover is extremely high, only my QA team got 80% still can stay. And due to relationship or pricing issue, our supplier is very low quality & my boss still want to use them, then QA need to do all the sorting or rework job but we totally lack of manpower(only 1.5 inspector per shift). When customer claim, all is QA's fault. Everything is unfair to QA.

The new company is Secured Parking Corporation SB, the new job title is QMS/Internal Audit Manager. Actually I totally don't know anything about this company.

I'd like to ask some opinion, if I go, how much should I fill in the expected salary? Since this job need to travel around & posses own transport. I'm worry as my current job I was "tipu" by the interviewer when I go interview. They cut my expected salary because they provide a car. Now all the employee can use my car for assigned task using my petrol. Many things that they promised not come true.

I plan to purchase a set of new desktop in coming weekend at Lowyat. My usage is more on internet surfing, online chatting, gaming (not for high graphfic performance / 3D), sometime I'll have to do some work at home, using Solidwork, Autocad 2D/3D & etc. And writing / run some macro in excel. I plan to run Win 7 32 bits.

I base on the PC set that offered by some PC shop and list down the items as below, but it is over my budget which I hope is below RM3k (below is viewnet price)

I've get a wireless modem (Riger - DB108-WL) from TM. Currently I'm using Aztech DSL600ER...

Is it possible to set up a network using both wireless modem & Aztech ADSL Modem? I hope to have both wired & wireless network with only 1 streamyx account...is it possible? If not possible to connect the existing modem, what equipment should i buy to minimize the budget?

<HELP> Dell Vostro 1400 can't complete install

Hi all,

I own a 2-years old Dell Vostro 1400 laptop.

Last few days, it suddenly refuse to log in to Windows Vista & gave me a message of 0xc000000f error (winload.exe)...
I follow the instruction, use the Vista CD to do Startup Repair...but the problem still remained, same error code but now (\system32\config)

Then I decide to re-install the Vista.

I delete the partition & make new while install the Vista, but after the installation come to restart the laptop,
it show unexpected error encounted & need restart the installation. I keep on trying, more than 5x...

I ask my fren, they told me this may be the ram or motherboard problem...

Now my question come,

1. The warranty period was expired, can I send my laptop to the nearby pc shop for repair? Or I must send to Dell?
2. I save many personal data in my HD, can I remove my HD when I send for repair?
3. May I know how is the budget around? Can it be more than 1k?
4. Is it possible to get the data out from the HD??

Hi all,

I'm now stay at Klang, Selangor, using Streamyx RM66/month (4-5 years ago's package 512kbps/256kbps before that was RM88/month, I dunno y I can get the speed upto 600++kbps by paying 66/month now).

But I'm going to work at Tanjung Bin, Johor. Will stay near PTP after Mid May(for 2 years as a construction site). I will not cut the streamyx line while my family is using. Therefore, I decide to get a wireless broadband in Johor. I'm using the service to surfing internet, bloging, chatting both skype & msn, play some online game. Sometimes download some Japanese drama or mp3 using BT. But I don't want to pay too much as I need to pay for the streamyx also. Any suggestion which ISP provider I should choose?
