Distributing Sugar Free Mints in Malaysia

My company is planning to import sugar free Mints from Switzerland and become the sole distributor in Malaysia.

We are currently in the process of researching the market. The following are some aspects that we would like to research about and we would appreciate if any of the members here can provide relevant information or advice.

1. What is the best way/channel to distribute the products? Is it better to distribute the products to local wholesaler or should we deal directly with the retailers such as 7-eleven, 99 speedmarts or grocery stores etc? What will the difference be?

2. I heard that it's quite tough to approach hypermarket such as Tesco, Giant and Carefour. Is it true?

3. How should I determine the selling price of the product? What price should I offer to the wholesaler/retailer/hypermarket? And what price should they display on the stores?

4. Are there any particular certificates or license that I need in order to distribute sugar free mints products in Malaysia?

5. We would also like to survey about the market volume of the product. How much of sugar free mint products are distributed/sold in the local market daily/weekly/monthly?? Any suggestions of how we can get this survey information?

I am opening this thread becuz i feel that there's a sense tat msia's sports is kinda declining... well, we might be able to say some sports are actually showin gud results....eg: squash, badminton, bowling

but let's face it, most of da sports are goin nowhere!!! and it's sad to say tat malaysia football is declinin to a point where we were even beaten by our small neighbour singapore (no offence to singapore though)..c'mon we consider once many yrs back then, da best in asia and even in da world!!
(We even came close to beat ENG aint we)
