Wireless Connection

Hi all, I'm duff with regards to wireless connection. One of my notebook cannot connect to my wireless router at home. I have the following equipment and appreciate members help to solve this problem: -

1. Acer Veriton 6800 PC (connected to the router via cable)
2. D-Link DI-634M wireless router
3. Acer notebook (Can't remember the model)
4. IBM T42 notebook with internal Intel/Pro wireless 2200bg

OS for the PC and note books are XP SP2

The router was set to open access i.e. no security (WEP or WPA).

The Problem : The IBM notebook was unable to connect to the router though it was able to detect the presence of the router. The IBM notebook was nevertheless able to connect to the wireless connection at my office, therefore I believe its wireless card is working. I have tried both the internal IBM wireless management software and also select windows to manage the wireless connection, but still couldn't connect. The Router's log indicate that it blocked the IBM notebook. I identified that it is the IBM notebook that it block through the mac address displayed. I've also tried connecting the IBM to the router via a D-Link wireless USB. The same happen- detect the wireless, but connect connect. I disabled the intel wireless when I use the wireless USB.

I've also entered the routers IP address and the default gateway into the IBM notebook, but still fail to connect. I've upgraded the intel wireless firmware to the latest provided at intel website.

Strangely though, the Acer notebook was able to connect the router without any problem.

Appreciate forummers inputs on how to solve this problem.

Thank you.
