Recommend Me a Desktop Within a RM10k Budget

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to get a new desktop as I have just moved to my new place and I am leaving my old PC behind for my mom to use.

My budget is about RM10k (better if lesser but that's the max I can go) and I mostly use the computer for heavy video editing using Premier Pro, designing using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and also gaming (latest PC games like Cyberpunk and etc) which I feel requires a powerful processor.

I was thinking of getting the Intel 13th gen processor and was thinking of Intel i7-13700kf for the processor

For the GPU, I was thinking of the 3080 or 3080 TI, depending on the budget at the end of it. Not sure if the RTX 40 series is out already or not.

For motherboard, any brand to recommend?

For RAMs, I was thinking of DDR5 RAMS but am unsure which brand to get. I only used to get Kingston and Corsair over the years. But I saw there's a new brand called Gskill and wanted to know what you guys think of it. Does it makes sense for me to get Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000 mhz 64 GB or Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 6000 mhz 64 GB?

For my primary Hard Disk, I was thinking of getting a 500GB NVMe SSD and then a 4TB hard disk just to store all my documents, files and miscellaneous stuff so it doesn't eat up space in my primary hard disk and I can keep it clean.

I do know a thing or two about computers but not that as advanced, hence I would like to seek advice some experts here to make the right informed choice before making a purchase.

The above are just some of the stuff based on my research and please do feel free to propose to me as well as I am open to suggestions.

I don't really like those fancy RGB lighting so I am good with non-RGB variant casings or parts. Performance is more important to me than aesthetics.

Do you guys also have any shops to recommend to me to get quotes as well?

Handheld Console Choice

Hi Guys,

I would like to ask everyone's opinion before making the decision to purchase a handheld console.

I am basically deciding between a PS Vita, New Nintendo 3DS XL or a Nintendo Switch.

To be honest, I am not really a fan of Nintendo Switch because I know that it's a portable home console.

I already have a PS4 Pro at home and am looking for a handheld console to play when I am travelling (which is quite often) or not at home.

I have been doing research on PS Vita and the New Nintendo 3DS XL and both are actually very appealing to me.

I understand that the PS Vita has just been discontinued and if I buy it now, there might not be games anymore for it in the future.

However, I can still play a lo of the old games which I have not played before.

My question to you guys is which do you think I should buy? The 3DS XL or the PS Vita?

I believe the questions and information that you guys will help me make a more informed buying decision.

Advice on Running Shoes

Hi guys,

I'm just a casual jogger and normally would just buy cheap sports shoes and jog with them over the years.

Now that I am working, I have a bit more money to spare for a pair of good running shoes.

Just want to get your opinion and feedback for which pair of shoes should I get.

Based on my budget, I'm deciding between:

Nike Men's Air Relentless MSL Running Shoe
Nike Men's Free Running Shoe
Reebok ZPUMP Fusion 2.5
Puma Flare Mesh Men's Running Shoe

I read some reviews online that the Reebok ZPUMP Fusion is really light and comfortable to run in.

Perhaps you guys can share your experience if any of you have used the shoes before?

I should be able to make my decisions from there.

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone here can tell me what app that Citta Mall is using for their Facebook?

I would like to do something similar to my page but I don't know how and it would be great if anyone here can point me at the right direction?

On the left side, there's a tab that says 'APPS', once you click on it you get to a customised Facebook Tab. For example:

Once I click 'Super Mama', I get directed to this page and best of all I get the visual of 'HOME' 'EVENTS' 'REGISTRATION' which will direct me to

another page when I click on them. This is super cool and if possible I would like to do the same as well for my Facebook page.

What's the difference if I were to buy a land vs buying a property?

For example, I buy an apartment unit for RM400k vs me buying a land in Pahang worth RM400k.

What's the difference in investing between those 2?
What's the appreciation rate between the 2?

Hey guys, do you guys remember Big Bro and Dear Thelma from The Star newspaper?

I am pretty sure you guys know Dear Thelma since it is still around but Big Bro is no longer around.

I remember many years ago, there was this dude who wrote about his kinky aunt and how he had an affair

with her despite she was about to be married and he already had a girlfriend. What's worst is that he is still a teenager

and he is addicted to it. So he was writing in to seek help on how to stop.

There is also another dude who claimed that he was raped by an older woman. Apparently he and his friend went to his

dad's office. So, they went into the girls toilet to take a peek out of boredom. Suddenly a woman came out and start chasing them.

His friend managed to get away but not him. So he got caught and he raped him. She told him not to tell others because she is

a lawyer. He told his friends and they laughed at him asking him if he enjoyed it.

Anyone remember these 2 articles?

I am actually planning to buy the Armageddon Aquila X5 due to its attractive price for a gaming mouse.

I just want to ask if anyone of you are using the said mouse and can give me your reviews or thoughts about

the mouse before I purchase it. How is the brand Armageddon in general? Are their products reliable?

Dual Channel RAM Problem

Hey guys, I need your opinion on an issue I just had.

I have been using a 4GB DDR3 Dual Channel RAM for about a year now and everything was fine until I started my

computer just now. I noticed during the Bios Start Up it says Single Channel and only 2GB. That means one of my

RAM is not being detected. Before I send it back to the shop is there anything that I can do about it first? It was alright this

morning and it said Dual Channel with 4GB during the start-up but now despite restarting the PC 3 times, it says Single Channel.

Is there anyway I could diagnose the problem myself or even fix it? I know that the best option is to just take it back to the shop,

but I thought I would give it a shot by posting here to see if there is anything that could be done. If the problem persists I will probably

take it back to the shop on Wednesday. Another question would be should I bring my whole PC back to the shop or just the RAM?

Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions

Hi guys,

I bought a Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions CD for Windows today. Everything worked fine except for the audio. There are sounds for the cinematic scenes

but not for the gameplay. Basicly, whenever there is a cut scene there will be sound but while playing the game there is no sound. I went back to the shop but

they said it couldn't be help since it's the game problem and not the CD problem so they cannot do anything for me. I already updated my audio driver and

DirectX to the latest one already but the problem still persists. I was wondering if anyone here could help me or if anyone experienced the same thing and

managed to solve it. Your help will be very much appreciated!

Hi, I was wondering if you guys know the best places to buy romance novels in KL. I read this book titled Fire and Ice by Anne Stuart about a year back and I seem to have
misplaced the book. The book did not belong to me and I just so happen to stumbled upon it in my grandpa's house. I read it once and now I feel like reading it all over again
but I cannot seem to find it. I plan to purchase it but I don't know where's the best best to buy these book as I have been to Kinokuniya, Borders and MPH but still am not able to
find the book. Do you guys know any shops that sells romance novels? I would appreciate it if you guys could help me out. Thank you very much.

Decision to study in UCSI

Hi everyone,

I am planning to enrol into UCSI for the May intake within this 2 weeks. I have decided to take up Mass Communication there.
However, the only thing which is bugging me now is the foreign students. There are lots of international students there the last time I went over there
for a school trip and it actually bugs me. I have read and heard a lot of negative news about these international students in newspapers and from students in different universities that they cause a lot of problems especially the negros. Although there are lots of international students in other universities/colleges, UCSI seem to have a lot of them especially the negros. I was surprised to see so many of them during my visit there.

I want to study in an environment which I can feel comfortable and safe. I have actually been harassed by some of the negros before and I did not do anything to provoke them whatsover and they came and start to scold me. Therefore, knowing how intimidating the negros can be would pretty much affect me. Therefore, I am actually in a delimma now whether I should enrol there or not. If there are any UCSI students here and if you're from the Mass Communication, I would like to listen to your opinion regarding this matter. Are there many foreign students in this course? Are the lecturers good? Thank you very much for your help.

USB PS2 Converter

I recently bought this PS2 converter so I can use it on my pc. However, I cannot seem to install the software inside. After I install the software provided by the cd, windoes still cannot identify my USB. Can anyone help solve this issue? Thanks!
