Ipod touch 2g became a brick while updating

I tried to update to the latest firmware on my ipod last night, firmware 2.2.

At first, everything seems to be ok until i got the 1611 error. Try to restore, same result.

I decided to restart everything, including the boot on my ipod (holding the home+sleep button for 10 sec).

Again, i repeated the restore process, everything seems to be moving, until the part where the apple logo+the progress bar om my ipod, where the progress bar has reach to full, neither my ipod or my itunes are moving. i left it overnight, nothing seems to be moving.

Just updated to the latest itunes, repeated the process...sometimes i got error 9, then i tried it again, same result as above and this time, i waited for 2hours.

My speculation was my ipod must get confused coz the error occurs when i was updating the firmware. Old firmware got tossed, new firmware coming in, then the error occurred while in the update process...Now when ipod tries to find way back to the old settings, the firmware has changed...

So, guys, is there any other explanation why? what should i do now? any suggestions?

Is it just me or did u guys noticed, ONLY credit cards are accepted in Malaysian apps store.

This is quite frustrating for me, as i'm a student, and basically, i do not owe any credit card.

The only thing i have is my debit card and my paypal.

So, i'm hoping for all the readers (or Ipod touch owners) out there to give our voice regarding this, and have some 'kesian' to those who did not have credit card in order for apple to at least, accept paypal as one of the method of payments for the application purchased at the store
