Suggestion on best budget monitor RM400 and below

Hi,

Its been a very long time since I bought a new monitor. Now the display on my samsung got something like kurap every time I turn it on and my old benq have window during winter effect on the screen and now seems to be dead (monitor on but no display shown, mouse still can get to the second monitor though).

So maybe its time for a new monitor but my budget is limited. Initial plan is to get one a new set and a used one for the second.

I used the monitor for web surfing and occasional gaming.

I did a bit of searching and shorlisted this for consideration for my main monitor.

ASUS VP228HE- less than RM400 new at viewnet

or maybe I should go 24 inch? viewnet got this at shopee

Samsung 24 inch monitor

as for viewing distance I typically about between 70cm to 1 meter.

I would like to hear you guys opinions and recommendations first before buying.
