Xmas Gifts

Since Christmas is just around the corner, I thought it would be a good time for me to get something for my mum and sis.

I was looking at rewarding my mum with a relaxing escape, somewhere along the lines of a spa treament. Family's from Penang and I found two which seemed quite decent from the internet, CHI, The Spa and Danai Spa. CHI looks good but I guess it might be too expensive for me. Would be really helpful, if someone could give me some pointers and perhaps better ideas?

Sis is 16, wondering if it would be a good idea to put her together with my mum for spa or maybe get her an electronic gadget instead. Again, any advice would be really helpful.

Unfortunately, I will not be in Malaysia to spend Christmas with them, so I would need to be able to purchase the gifts from overseas.

Many thanks.

ad-hoc wireless network help

hi guys, i'm running a ad-hoc wireless network connection with ICS at home. So i'm really new into this and i just followed the network wizard to setup the connection but the problem is it kept disconnecting like every 5 mins but at times it could last for maybe an hour. Everytime when i disconnects, it has problems connecting back again, for like 10 - 20 mins the status of the connection would be acquiring network address. Anyway i was really frustrated with it so now i manually configured the thing and i use static ip's for the host and the client and today after 30 mins using it, it seems to be working fine. anyway what i did was I set

Server:
Ip : 192.168.0.1
Subnet : 255.255.255.0
Default gateway : black

Dns: Blank

Client:
Ip: 192.168.0.2
Subnet:255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.0.1

Dns : (i got this values from my server computer, i type ipconfig/all and i just copied the values from the LAN adapter's DNS values)

So my question is did i set it correctly? and what is DNS?

Finally, i use windows firewall on both the laptops. I was wondering if the windows firewall affects anything inside my network or it just monitors what goes in and out of my network with the internet? if it does affects what happens inside my network how do i configure it? what should i allow thx in advance.
