First a liltle insight on the PROs of this company
In general, there're a lot of friendly people with a lot of project and opportunities.
Medium amount of company events to make an employee feel like they are part of the family.
Car Park is available to early bird.
Its a good company if you're in the right department with the right HOD[DONT EVER DO SOFTWARE RELATED JOBS].

Now comes the CON,

Weird HR policy
Working hours are from 8.45-5.45. You're expected to arrive office 15min early and leave after 5.45. You won’t be able to reach HR if there is any matter as they all leave at 5.45 sharp. [Personally I dont care about this policy since I always reach office at 7.20 but left at 6,but then this one incident where I left at 5.40 ONCE and HR comes to talk to me about my attendance issue.]

Unable to take EL , instead of compensating with AL, it will be taken as no paid leave. Over Time cannot be claimed but compensate with leave ONLY.
Did not clearly explain how the bonus structure works with new comers.

Unacceptable working environment
The entire office is in a warehouse building renovated into a half office half warehouse environment. The air conditioning will malfunction once every 3 days and the office is always dusty. The office equipment is probably from the 19th century as one of my colleagues broke 3 office chair due to the chair being too old.

Poor management
Typical china man management, most of the time communicates in Chinese or Cantonese while ignoring the fact that other employee are unable to understand even during meetings. One person doing multiple roles, the entire HR department only has 6 people while in charging 300 employees.

Please bear in mind this does not represents the entire company but solely to the department I've worked for only.

I worked for one of the newly formed department whereby the department main purpose was to develop solutions for the Toshiba products.
Department Head itself is clueless, poor management, bad at office politics and unable to communicate concisely.
Assistant manager of the HOD it's like an echo whatever the HOD says, assistant manager will repeat again, even though it doesn't make any sense.

HOD will constantly grab project from other departments even if its own department does not have the resource to complete the project in time. When I was still there, the department has 8 people handling 30projects.
Bad management from HOD and Assistant manager, the HOD will just talk to the team, listen to their opinions and move on without taking actions while the Assistant manager tries to micromanage everyone in the department.
A lot of time we had long meetings and no solution is being delivered as the HOD is unable to convey his message clearly.

HOD always makes false promises and gives people false hope.
-promise employee bonus, end up no bonus because of HR policy
-claims that OT will be paid with cash but turn to compensate by leave, in the end, leave also do cannot be compensated due to the HR policy(again)
-lies to the employee on project incentives, claims etc.

I've looked around my area(PJ) there doesn't seem like anyone is selling it.
