TM Biz Unifi + Mikrotik

Hey all.

So at our office our old Alcatel-Lucent TM modem went kaput and the technician replaced it with a modem with router built in, causing me headache. I'm a network noob so I hope for some guidance.

Our mikrotik router is configured to pppoe dial the modem to get public ip addr. So it has bridges and vlan 600 & 500 for voip and internet.

But the new modem dials itself so mikrotik only gets 192.168.1.x from WAN. Voip works but problem is I still can't get to Internet even though I disabled pppoe and configured static IP 192.168.1.2 gateway 192.168.1.1. I didn't touch vlans and bridges. What other settings am I missing?

Or is there a way to modify modem settings so I don't have to mess my mikrotik?

Hey all.

So I have a unifi biz account with a few phone numbers, a mikrotik router, and a iPECS UCP/eMG80 as PBX. And I have a problem.

Quite recently the router itself went haywire so I had to hard reset it and lost all custom settings as a results. I know my fault for not backing up the configs. Anyway.

I have already set up Internet VLAN and it works fine. However my issue is only the main phone line is working. The rest don't when I call in to those numbers my call just ended.

I learnt that I need to set up VLAN 400 to get the rest of the numbers working. But I also think I need to do some port forwarding for SIP, which I've almost no idea.

Here's my diagram:

So in my Winbox, I created Interfaces > VLAN > + with these settings:- MTU 1500, ARP enabled, VLAN ID 400, Interface ether10 (which points to my PBX).

As for firewall, I just port forward by IP > Firewall > NAT > +
- Chain dst-nat, Protocol udp, Dst port 5060,7000-7015,7100-7115, 7300-7315,10000-10239; action dst-nat to PBX IP (I got these ports from google).

Still doesn't work. I figured I need to log into the PBX and look at the port settings. But right now, I need some insight.

Is my diagram correct? What else I could be missing?

Can't I just use the base Internet quota for streaming and chat apps whether on phone or tethered? In what situations do I absolutely have to use them besides my base quota ran out?

Hey all, I'm married, got little kids and am looking for some opinions.

I just sold my house for money reason, and am now looking for a budget home for less than 400k. Since it's hard to find a good landed in KV at that range these days I'm torn between two choices:

1. A new condo like Almyra or southville. Unfortunately gotta wait for two years at least.
2. Either a 3 years old townhouse or a really old late 80s era low cost terrace in Bangi or nearby. You may know how those old houses look like.

Both choices are similarly priced.

My main concerns are repairs/maintenance and resale value. Because I never lived in a condo although I used to live in a lokos flat back in bachelor days. I don't intend to stay for very long; prolly 5-10 years as I aim for a better one in the future. But for the sake of family I must get a really comfortable place to live.

I just bought Akerby oak worktop. Unfortunately for me Ikea doesn't sell Behandla interior wood treatment anymore, so I scouted some hardware stores but couldn't find one equivalent. Mostly there were polyurethane based or boiled linseed which didn't have a mention about food-safety though a few water resistant. I don't know much about treatment oil other than what I've read so far on the Internet. Can you guys help?

View a DWG file on a browser?

Does anyone know a free plugin for Firefox/IE/Chrome that can open an Autocad DWG inside browser?
Otherwise any free way to make web server to convert DWG to image on the fly upon request?

So far I've tried:
- Autodesk360: an online app that you have upload drawing there instead to view.
- Design Review: Only supports DWF, not DWG.
- DWG TrueView: Desktop app, not a plugin. But haven't explore much yet.

How to symlink in this situation

I have a standard application directory containing a bunch of files and subdirs, like so:

And then I have two other directories, each contain only config.ini, like so:

I want to make these two custom apps to contain files from standard app, like:

C:\CustomApp1\config.ini
C:\CustomApp1\data\app.dat

C:\CustomApp2\config.ini
C:\CustomApp2\data\app.dat

The usual way is to just copy the contents (except config.ini) from the standard into custom folders. But I'd like to know how if instead to just symlink (or hardlink? whichever is more appropriate) the standard directory and files into custom folders, so that I can run app.exe from those folders, but each using its own config.ini?
