Hi, I am from Kuching, Sarawak. My new housing area have no Streamyx yet, until April/May. So I have to get a 3G if I want to online asap.

There is only 2 3G providers here - Digi and Celcom.

I had ask some ppl about Digi, they say its really slow. And I tested it at my home, with the simcard and handphone, connect to my pc. End result, yes it is slow.

So people suggest to use Celcom. However, it is very expensive for me since my home have 4 PCs that need to have internet access. The modem is around RM500, and the 3G router is another RM500. So the initial cost is already RM1000 which is really heavy for me.

I am thinking, how about only getting the modem, and connect the modem directly to my pc. Then, my pc link to the other 3 pc, through a normal router. Meaning letting my pc act like some kind of server, creating a network.

The problem is, I do not know will this work. People tell me that the internet will be very slow using such method. I am not sure, since I will going to use the 3.6G from Celcom, which is RM98 per month and have speed of 3.5mbps.

So, what is your opinion/comment/suggestion/experience?

Should i take the upgrade offer?

If upgrade to INTEL Core2 E8400, i need to pay RM95 extra.

My question is very simple, should I take up the upgrades?
a. yes, you should take up both (RM240), because...
b. nope, you should only take the processor (RM95), because...
c. nope, you should only take the graphic card (RM145), because...
d. nope, you should stick to your current one (eventhough i dont know how much they charge for it), because...

Sorry, really urgent so, its better not to get replies which does not answer my question directly, hehe. Thanks in advance!

4. what is their differences? if not big difference then i will take the cheapest.

1. what is the difference of G31-S2L, G31-S3L and EP31-DS3L? if not much differences, i will take G31-S2L.
2. why the person tell me there is none such thing call G31-S3L? i heard got such thing, from some forumers.

if both are same price, which one is better? (for gaming purpose)
i think should be the clone. if its the clone, is there anything that i should enhance with?
also, is E8400 very good? i see many ppl suggesting to use it. please do compare E8400 with E7300 about their price and performance, thanks!

after gaining opinions, i think i will go for DELL desktop. can someone help me to select the spec for it? my requirements are:

(1) help me choose all the CPU parts (in other word whole destop except speaker, monitor, keyboard and mouse)
(2) good for gaming purpose (want to play WOW-WotLK nicely)
(3) better be around rm2400-2800, must not be more than rm3000 (included casing and power supply, yes the whole CPU, hehe)
(4) reliable, able to last for long... (3 years warranty)
(5) to be equal or better than ACER Aspire M5641-482X, especially the graphic card (listed below)

want to buy LCD but cant decide which one to choose:

Sony - 40" W series
Panasonic - TX37LZ800MK
Samsung - 40" 5 series
LG - 42" LG80FR

which one is better? i want to place at my living room. please drop as much comment as you can! (about graphic, resolution, contrast, sound, lifespan, warranty, & their WEAKNESS, ignoring the price first, definately Sony is the most expensive one @@)

also, please help me answer this (true or false):
1) Sony W series suffer the same problem like V series that sometime the human face will have weird colors
2) Samsung TV has shorter lifespan compare to 3 other brands

Samsung 20" or Samsung 22"

and i cant get a good conclusion (hardly even get a good comparison, maybe i am a lousy search person). can anyone list their pros and cons?

p/s: for gaming purpose. and i am planning to get a 9800GT graphic card (unless someone can suggest a better one with close price).

I am having 9800GT graphic card, which of these should i choose without being bottleneck by this grahpic card?

Processor: Quad (2.4Ghz) vs Duo (3.0 Ghz)
Monitor: Samsung 19" vs Samsung 20" vs Samsung 22"

Or, are there any better graphic card that you recommend, that is not too much more expensive than 9800GT?
