Trump visited Alamo, Texas, on Tuesday to defend his immigration policy and tout the partial construction of the US-Mexico border wall. During his speech, he praised the completion of over 400 miles of border wall and dismissed talks of a second impeachment as a "witch hunt," saying "as the expression goes, be careful what you wish for." Before boarding a plane for the trip, Trump told reporters at the White House that he was not to blame for the violent insurrection at the US Capitol last week, adding that his remarks to supporters were "totally appropriate."

YouTube suspends Trump's ability to upload content indefinitely

YouTube said Tuesday it had removed new content from President Trump’s official channel and will prevent videos from being uploaded for a minimum of a week. the decision was made "After review, and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence" in the wake of a pro-Trump riot that breached the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. "Given the ongoing concerns about violence, we will also be indefinitely disabling comments on President Trump’s channel, as we’ve done to other channels where there are safety concerns found in the comments section," YouTube added.

Question about torrenting (not speed related)

Hi,

I very rarely use torrents, so I'm not very familiar with settings but when I tried it recently with Unifi (using the default DIR-615 router), after a few hours, the router crapped out. Basically, it was unable to connect to anything at all. Had to reboot it and then it was OK.

What causes this problem and how do I overcome it? Thanks

Hi,

As stated in the topic, the 'world' LED on the router keeps blinking (was static previously). Everything works fine ( I can get online, etc), but I would like to know the cause of this.

Checked router settings - no other device connected
No downloads/uploads in progress (wifi LED not blinking as expected)
Tried restart router + PC

Basically there should be (almost) no traffic going through the router but that icon is still blinking rapidly. I can't figure it out. Any help would be great.

Everytime I try to go to 192.168.0.1 (router page), it shows '500 Internal Server Error'. Tried restarting the router + PC. Same issue.

What should I do?

Hi,

I have the AOC 23.6" 2436VWH monitor and a problem with a black bar at the top of the screen. I think it may be a settings issue, but I don't know how to fix it. I can't seem to use the menu options / buttons on the monitor itself coz it keeps skipping the resize section?

If anyone can help, I would be grateful! Thanks

Port Forwarding Question

Hi,

Today the Unifi guys came to my place to change my router (also a DIR-615) as it had malfunctioned. Now with the new DIR-615, I am having trouble with port forwarding.

I make the changes under Advanced --> Port Forwarding and it saves the changes in the router config page, but the changes aren't being made. Basically, its still blocked.

Does anyone know what to do? I'm trying to unblock port 113 for Ident.

I've just purchased a PS3 today & was reading through this forum. I've got a question about R1 / R3 games. I've read the link posted in the General PS3 Q&A and Technical Discussion thread, but how do we know which region has which features for specific games? Is there a list that shows the specific differences between R1 and R3 retail discs for upcoming games?

For example, I wanna pre-order Battlefield 3 but I'm not sure which region I should go for.

Question about HD

Hi,

After a recent power outage (thanks TNB!), I noticed that my WD 1TB 7200 RPM internal HD is 'slower' than before. Its noticeable when extracting large (7GB+) files or installing games to that drive, because it takes longer than usual. There are no error messages though. The in-built Windows disk scan also does not show anything.

Is there a setting for the HD that somehow got reset when the power went off? What application would be best to check the drive?

Monitor question [SOLVED]

Hi guys,

I recently purchased the following AOC 2436Vwh 24" monitor, its supposed to be full HD (1920 x 1080), but whenever I put it in this res, the screen becomes smaller, as in there are black bars on all 4 corners. Basically, the desktop becomes smaller.

Why is this? I can't make any changes that will make it 'full screen' + HD res. Not sure what to do

If I put it in other resolution (smaller but non-HD), it becomes full screen again.

Hi,

Recently my Logitech Z-Cinema speakers are unable to turn on. These are USB 2.1 Surround sound speakers (both satellite speakers connected to the sub). The computer detects the USB connection, but I can't turn it on no matter what I try.
