Scam Alert - 8818 Caller

Was looking around for the number below.
but got no info.
so just wanted to post it here.

Call Number : +8818825935
Provider: Globalstar (Mobile Satellite Service) for +8818

Detail:
when call is attended, it says in Malay that there is a personal loan under Maybank
with an outstanding of 2k + for further info please press 9. once its pressed the
called is attended within seconds (fastest call pick up ). On the line was a young chinese
guy (100% local, can speak Malay and Chinese ascent, most probably from central region).
He will keep insisting to provide ic no and that this is genuine Maybank call center
(with the quickest pickup, background sound like a bus station, I enquired and he was dumbfounded ).
I stated that since Maybank knows my number, they can call me with my info. till then bye bye .

My RM 0.05 (No 1 cent already):
Do not provide any (and i mean any) personal details to anyone who calls you requesting you the very same.
If its a genuine call, 100% they already have your details and they will mention to you.
it works in reverse if you are calling them (since you know who you are calling, and they do not have your details ready).

P/S:

If anyone knows that this genuine (will delete this thread).
or had similar experience (will keep this for future reference).

Hi,

Just want to share my experience with seller from lelong name Leonjunyin

I purchase a pipo u1 tablet recently from this seller name Leonjunyin from lelong. I wanted to give this as a present to my niece on that day so I decided to purchase outside of lelong, which turns out to be a big mistake. Due to the location of this seller, I requested my good friend to pick it up for me.

So I made an arrangement with this seller via phone, Question all the necessary details, and particularly requested a genuine pipo headset, this seller replied that others he have but pipo headset he needs to find and I inform him that he can find it before my friend pick it up later which was about 4 hours later. I mention that it was a gift and make sure everything was in and ok during pick up since my friend is just picking it up for me. He said ok. One thing I should mention that the tablet didn't even have an original box but I said it is ok, since I was the one that was desperate.

So my friend pickup and deliver to me. And everything checks out but the headset. Small issue I thought. So I called him immediately and he did not pick up, I thought it was late so I send him a sms just in case but there no reply (1st flagged something was wrong). So over the next few days I tried to contact and sms but no pick up and reply what so ever.

Now since I bought outside of lelong, I could not rate his services so I just posted in the ask seller section. I comment on the headphone and warn others. next day I found that the item was deleted. I though is was funny that he knows and simply refused to acknowledge his mistake, what I did next was post it on his next available item, and he replied finally saying he replace it with a leather pouch (was not leather, it was cotton) and extra screen protector and also quoting that I should behave and that the quality of service is not with how many gift is given but how the situation is handled.

Naturally after a comment like that, I would reply and I did, but what happen next was even more ridiculous, he blacklisted me from buying his items and bidding. May be he was afraid that he rating would be effected as I did mention he was lucky that I purchase out of lelong else he would get very terrible rating for what he was doing. He way of handling problem is ignoring and not replying.

In my humble opinion, all he could have done is pick up the phone and said sorry sir I could not find the headset you requested but in replacement I gave you this and that but if you insist we could work this out; but instead all this rubbish. Anyhow this is my two cents, for me it just a head phone and if I really wanted it I could just drive there and give him a piece of my mind.

I felt this a good place to post a review on the seller Leonjunyin for the people who use google can get some info before buying from him. If it was me, I sincerely will not buy from this buyer again due to his conduct and will not recommend anybody else also to buy from leonjunyin.

The funny thing is this seller posted on his product page on how another seller is cheating.

Commision not payed, what to do?

Hi,

recently i was approce by a man saying that he will pay me commision if i provide a lead for streamyx.

But now after the lead he refuse to pay saying that it is lower than company policy payout.
I said i will make a police report and he is daring me to make.
Is it because nothing will happen to him.
I know it is only RM 25 but he would have made more
I do have all the evidence, the emails, and he saying that there was a miscomunication bla bla.

what are the charges for cheating or froud and what can i do ?

can any sugest something?

i asked them how come there is nothing on the company or at least on the job specification. at least i need to know what i am suppose to be doing even though thats a "Team Leader" possition.

they simply told me since you are not coming, we can cancel it off.

i said better that way.

I cannot believe the could not be bothered on explaining the job. the reason i ask is because every possition they advertise is the same advertisement.

gurantee telemarketing, i was going through the net and apparantly they have a job posting every 2 weeks. and one more weird thing is that they close it after one day of advertising at jenjobs. really weird.

thank god i cancel it.
