UTAR's new president

I've asked the head of foundation studies, and he has confirmed with me that UTAR has a new president now

quoted from the head of foundation studies :
"The new CEO/President of UTAR is Prof. Engr Dato Dr Chuah Hean Teik oficially assumed duty on the 1 April.
(He is also the Deputy President of Institute of Engineers Malaysia).

The previous President had retired - she is 71 yrs old.

Formal announcement will be made later."

From my understanding, Prof. Engr Dato Dr Chuah Hean Teik was the Dean of engineering in MMU..
To those who don't have faith in UTAR, perhaps this change will change your thoughts about UTAR?

I'm personally quite sure that the new president will run UTAR better, but that's just my opinion...
( Almost completed my first sememster, and have no regrets to choose UTAR for my tertiary education )
hey guys,

I am now taking foundation in science.. My problem is i am looking for a good and easy-to-understand and concise revision book for physics and mathematics ( calculus ) and also chemistry.. It would be great if you guys can suggest which revision book to buy for each of the subject.. only one book per subject.. I'm now currently studying in UTAR.

Also, a physics question :

What is the effect of large amplitude oscillation? ( this question is from an experiment about the simple pendulum to get the value for g, gravitational accleration )
Will large and small amplitude oscillation give the same value of g ?

Thanks

Mod's note:- All sales activity, please carry out via PM or in Garage Sales. Is Mechanical Engineering of UTAR recognized by the government and IEM and BEM? if not, is it a sure thing that UTAR will get the accreditions by the organizations above?

2) With a UTAR certificate, will i secure a job easily? Are UTAR graduates well sought by the industry?? Also, if i were to find a job at overseas, for example, Singapore and Australia, will i get an employement? in other word, is UTAR's degree recognized by oversea companies and organizations??

[addedon]January 15, 2008, 8:43 am[/addedon]need help~ need help~~~~~!!anyone please?

University Intakes VS National Service

I did some researches on some university's intakes.... and something is bothering me...
For university like UTAR, they have only Jan and May intake... I understand that they had an August intake this year, but that's for certain courses only...

My question is, if i am selected for the second batch of the national service ( 18 March - 9 June ), that means i can't go to UTAR anymore??? since the intake time is within the National service period...
If the answer is yes, i can... how to apply?? i mean i can't apply in the camp right?? correct me if i am wrong

Thank you
