Charity In Ramadhan

Ramadan is the month that has many advantages. Among Allah s.w.t. has promised that it would open the door of heaven and hell closed the door, and tied the devil. During the month of charity, we are also encouraged to create self-awareness and instill the attitude of responsibility among men.

During the month we enjoy breaking fast with a variety of delicious food and refreshing drinks and celebrate Eid on the first of Syawal. But do we realize that we still have among us people who still live in poverty and our brothers in religion out there who suffer from war or natural disaster?

Reported that the Messenger of Allah is more generous and philanthropist during Ramadan. In this case, he said, which means: "charity is the most Afdhal (better) is a charity which was issued in the month of Ramadan." (Hadith narrated by Bukhari and Muslim).

Lets join Muslim Aid Fast 2 Feed Program!

Muslim Aid invites the Muslims to voluntarily acknowledge the special Ramadan with charity to the needy through the auspices of Muslim Aid activities throughout the year. A program called Fast 2 Feed (F2F) will be conducted during the month of Ramadan. F2F program will provide opportunities for people to sponsor orphans as well as break fast with them. Muslim Aid Asia: Qurban 4 Life

The sacrificing of Qurban is highly recommended religious act. Muslim Aid Asia (MAA) calls on you to donate your sacrifice, religious duty, to the world's most needy people including in Malaysia.

MAA monitors the certified halal process of your Qurbans. This ensures humane treatment of the animals and healthy meat product. As part of our effort to provide quality food aid distribution, MAA sources livestock according to Islamic specifications.

Slaughtering will be carried out on the 10th to 13th Zulhijjah 1429 (8th December 2008 to 11th December 2008) at facilities chosen by MAA. The facilities are those certified by the Australian Federation of Islamic Council and also in the list of approved by facilities of the Department of Islamic Development (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia- JAKIM).

Muslim Aid has been organising Qurban for over 15 years for food distribution to the world's most needy. We see the canning of Qurban as the most viable alternative in poor, drought-stricken and war-torn places that are lacking instracture such as electricity.

Canned meat provides longer "shelf life" allowing the poor and the destitute to sustain their families for a longer period in times of calamities and trial. In the 1428H season, MAA doanted one containers of canned Qurban to survivors of the Sidr Cyclone in Bangladesh, war survivors in Gaza and Iraq and needy people in Malaysia.

How to join the Qurban for Life?
You perform the qurban through Muslim Aid Asia by

Salam n hi everyone!

This weekend, 12 and 13 July 2008, Muslim Aid Asia will be having a motivational program for ASDAF children. We have our facilitator. and if any of u guys would like to volunteer to become a co facilitator, can kindly contact us at 03-2288 1996 ( Muhammad or Ilham). All are invited regardless of race and religion

Need to confirm before 11 July 2008. Module will be brief on this Saturday morning.
After the program, each facilitator and co facilitator will be given a certificate. Food are provided for both Saturday n Sunday.

Basically, heres the objectives

Objektif :

• mengenalpasti potensi-potensi yang terdapat dalam diri anak-anak ASDAF ini yang boleh dimanfaatkan demi masa depan mereka.

• mengukuhkan keyakinan diri anak-anak ASDAF ini agar mereka bersedia untuk berdepan dengan masyarakat luar.

• memotivasikan pelajar ke arah persiapan diri dari segi fizikal, spiritual dan dan psikologi dalam proses pembelajaran dan menghadapi peperiksaan kelak.

• memotivasi diri anak-anak ASDAF untuk menerobos sempadan diri mereka supaya lebih berkeyakinan menempuh cabaran masa depan.

• menyemai rasa pentingnya khasiat tanaman dan sayur-sayuran kepada anak-anak ASDAF untuk membantu pertumbuhan minda dan fizikal yang berpanjangan.

Muslim Aid Asia: Trip to Rohingya Orphans Refugees

Just wanna share with u guys..
yesterday Muslim Aid Asia team volunteers went to visit an unregistered Orphan House in Selayang.

Lokasi: Berhampiran dengan Pasar Borong Selayang
Jumlah kanak2: hampir 80 (umur antara 6 - 15 tahun)
Penjaga: 4 org sepenuh masa (1 pengetua, 2 ustaz, 1 tukang masak)
Status: Pelarian dari Burma (Myanmar). (sapa tgk cerita rambo3, lebih kurang mcm tu keadaannya kat sana)
Kesulitan yg dihadapi: Status pelarian. Anak2 kecil tidak dibenarkan untuk masuk sekolah tempatan. Yg dewasa pulak tidak dibenarkan bekerja. Kerajaan Malaysia hanya membenarkan mereka masuk ke Malaysia, atas status pelarian, dan pandai2 laa nak hidup.

My Kitchen Garden for Orphanage

Currently Muslim Aid Asia is doing a small project for the orphanage in ASDAF near Jalan Travers.

Basically this is the Kitchen Garden plan

so update till yesterday...
