Cheapest way to have house designed, furnished etc

As title suggest, whats the most cost efficient way to have a new home designed and furnished? Engaging an Interior Designer is expensive and that alone is about RM100 psf without including furnitures already.

Possibly thought about engaging a contractor and pass him the designs but might be tedious and measurements etc will not be available for him?

Please advise!
