hi guys.. my desktop yesterday starts to shut down automatically. i google about it and already check the temp with BIOS and also software but the temp is normal when it shuts down.

it also shut down in safe mode. im really at lost now. is it possible that the GPU is faulty? or the mobo?

athlon 7850 BE
gigabyte GX 550
ati 5850
crucial 2 x 1 GB
asus crosshair old one..

took out the GPU.. still shuts down. so either PSU or mobo or ram..

hye all.. i kinda have a problem with my new laptop. i bought it at lowyat 3 months ago. i search on Google regarding my problem but i didnt find any answer. so would be glad if any of you have any idea what this is..

my laptop spec:

compaq presario (forgot series)
intel i3
ati radeon hd545v
ram 2GB
500GB space

so it was working fine for the 1st month. then suddenly it start to sometimes hang after i plug the power cord in. and after that it starts to hang regularly when the laptop uses battery power.

i noticed that before it hang the cpu usage gadget on win 7 show that all core is at 100% and then it froze..

now its getting worse since only core 3 is at 100% even after few restarts. but so far the hang stops.

so any idea whats happening? is it because of the OS or the power supply to the mainboard is going haywire?

2 weeks ago my psu start giving me problem. when i start my pc i read that the +5.0 v is only giving me +2 v something. so when i do any works the pc will shut down.

but after leaving my pc for 1 week its normal again. but 3 day ago my gpu suddenly stop working. now i have to use onboard graphic.

so my question is can my gpu be repaired or its done already? if can wheres the place i should go cause the waranty is finished.

and should i change my psu in case it will effect whatever gpu i replace after this? my psu is gigabyte odin pro and gpu is gtx 260..

how to fix this problem.. already formated the hdd but if i take out the boot dvd its gona stop and ask show that some module(forgot, i think its window loader or something) is missing..

before no problem but now have to put boot disk everytime want to on pc..

hye.. just wandering whats the pro and cons of enabling amd cool & quiet.. normaly it would be disabled so i guess there is a reason for that..

1.would enabling the feature hamper the performance a lot or just a little that it should be enable instead of disabled?

2. i read that some ram have a profile called epp.. exmple is tracer on nvidia chipset.. this can be seen on cpu-z i think.. but how to select this profile? any effect if changing the native profile set by the bios?

i just bought deepcool b40 cpu cooler.. and i install with tuniq tx-3 paste.. when i boot up, the bios said rpm to low.. but i check its running at 2000rpm..

and the temp shoot to 40-45 degree..

what the prob..

proc: amd x2 7850+ BE
mobo: asus crosshair II

now im using stock hsf plus the fan included with mobo..

in the bios theres an option to enable the SMART system for your hardisk.. whats the pro and con for enabling this?

and when i try to run coretemp software its says "this is not amd/***forgot" and wont run.. im using amd x2 7850 BE..

any solution? tq,..

is it good or bad to have too many utilities that runs on startup like diskeeper, hddlife, memboost, hardisk sentinel, etc..

would it consume too much memory and have effect on pc performance?

or it would help pc run faster and keep the hdd life longer?

why does the read and write time for my WD 640GB caviar green average only 11.0 but my seagate baracuda manage to get 50.0? is it an early sign of hdd going kaput? or is it because not enough power supply coz sometime after restart bios dont detect my wd caviar green..

what is the best configuration for ddr2 1GB x 2 pieces ram.. is it to put both ram on dimm A1 and dimm A2 or put one on dimm A1 and another on dimm B1?
