Donation to Charitable Organizations

During this current and potentially more MCO, did a lot of house tidying and managed to sort out lots of toys (for all age groups) and books. Rather than throw them away, these are pre-loved, many are branded, good condition, I would like to seek help on good charities to donate to.

Please share who may appreciate it. I will make sure they are all cleaned and good to 'play'/'read'/'use' before donating.

EPF Extra Contribution

EPF is one of the best, if not the best, Fixed Deposit for our money.

Every month, salaryiedemployees have a portion of their salary (not employer portion) knocked off into EPF contribution - statutory is 11%?

My question is - can you request for more deduction from your salary to be channeled into EPF. And if yes, is there any allowable maximum percentage and/or amount.

This question is a little different from self contribution as the maximum from self contribution is limited to RM 60,000. Please correct if I am wrong.

A Storm is Brewing

The economy is...stagnant and many even say, floundering.

So the next great storm is...how many jobs will be lost?

Job loss is good for the nation. It slaps people in the face and tells them to get off their high horses and really start working.

Today's younger generation is all about what is in it for them? Isn't it better if it is...what can they do for the company?

A storm is brewing and if nothing is done (not by the government, mind you), we may enter into a deeper recession than even our neighbors.
