close but selfish friends

hey there. i have this 1 friend. he's very knowledgeable in every aspect. and he's influential to my career to because at a point when i didnt know what to choose, he was already in a career which i thought looked very bright and i choose the same path as him. it's working fine so far and if i had any problems regarding my work i'd refer to him and he's always willing to help me most of the time. but he has this selfish attitude. i didnt realise it that much back then but now i can see it very clear. maybe it's because back then i just looked at him as somebody who i'd call to help on work and not much more than that. i dont want to be that kind of friend, but h prefers it that way. you know, like you play in a football team and your only friends during the game and not more than that. if i tried to get closer e.g talk about life and such he'd just reply with simple answers. so now, i think we're pretty close but i dont feel comfortable because it's the way that he wants this friendship to go. you get what i'm saying. why i say he's selfish is because sometimes i feel like he uses me say if my house is free or whatsoever he'd come over to wash his car, repair his stuff and etc etc but we dont do "buddy" stuffs. our topic of conversation is always cars cars. and when we go out to drink eat i dont think i ever recall him buying me a drink maybe this 1 time but thats because he wanted to belanja this 1 guy who was gonna go on a long study journey and i was accidentally there. and if i ask him to hang out, he'd always want me to pick him. heck i remember he wanted to buy this stuff and he asked me to follow him and last minute he said we should use my car. i mean i'm fine with that if we're close pals. i rank my friends 3 stages, buddy, pals an dbrothers. rite now i dont know where this guy rank because i want to become his brother but he hangs somehwere at buddy and pal. this might soud cheesy or nerdy but i dont know how else to describe it. and he's pretty goodl ooking too but he has this bad attitude of saying things straight to your face. i've seen how he treat others much worse and sometimes i feel disgusted by it. again i wont mind those kinda jokes if we were closer but yea you get the point. so how do i adjust myself to this kind of person? because i dont like to act i'm close, i'f im close than i'm close to you.

pc wont start anymore after hit by thunderstorm

hi guys. last 2 days i left my pc on and during heavy thunderstorm, my pc crash and cannot start anymore due to the lightning. so i guess it was the psu so i bought a new psu (was gonna change anyways because need higher power for gc). then now i plug all cables dy and still cant start. how how? i dont have budget to send to shop

2009 Malaysia F1 GP a disaster?

for those of you who did went to this years F1 at Sepang did you think it was a disaster? come on you know what i mean. first of all what was it about that ticket and parking sticker being sold at a junction located in the middle of the forest? seriously. they put a sign that shows cars with no sticker go this way and ok i have the ticket so i had to get the parking pass sticker and oh my when i got there the booth was a complete mess. they put up 2 tents and sold it there. there were people lining up but we didnt know what was going on. so i lined up for 40 minutes anyways then i heard shouting infront of the booth. turns out that those who were sitting at hillstand gate E and G should go to the parking at F1 Sepang and buy it there instead of lining up there because only granstand parking tickets are sold at the booth. there were a lot of angry people. they should have been more specific and put up a sign or at least took an effort to write on a piece of cardboard and say so. i mean do they wait like every hour to stand up and notify everybody about the parking tickets? absolutely disgraceful. the location itself is just plain weird it's like they just found a spot in the middle of an unfinished roadside in the jungle and open it to collect money and go. then the rain just spoils it only 32 laps is it. the race itself was dissapointing so imagine us the little people how horrible it was to undergo such pathetic management. i felt like i had been kicked in the face and cheated on. i tell you today was the case of when the flag drops, the b*llsh*t stops. only it stopped much earlier than usual. on and off track in my opinion was dissapointing this year.

looking for a second hand car

hi. currently im still in search of a second hand car.
main priorities:
-full loan
-very low d/payment
-tip top condition if possible
-something around 20-25k
-local car. still student so proton parts are cheap. proton? ahah i just dont like perodua
-at least 1.5 engine. anything below 1.5 sorry

those are the main priorities. i'm really interested in a satria gsr turbo but it is very hard to get full loan for those cars because most of them are probbaly more than 10 years old. im still a student, so im looking for something which is just ok ok to maintain. i prefer cars which are slighty modified e.g added high cam, bigger muffler you know just for the extra performance.

but main reason i made this topic is because i want to find a good second hand car saleshop which can provide me low d/p and full loan. i need to find a car fast ASAP. anyone who have info or past experience buying 2nd hand car which fit the criterias i've stated, please tell me ok.

Unhappy with life at my institution

Hello there. I am a student currently taking foundation in management course in Multimedia University. This is my second year but i am still in foundation because I had to extend due to some subjects that clashed during my previous semester. The main reason why I posted this topic is because currently, I hate the life that I have at my university. I dont have much friends here because I am not the type that likes being in big social groups and I mix with people who were close to me when I first entered. But problem is those that I were close with are mostly in their degree years and as a result we seldom mix around anymore. My social life is terrible. My housemates moved and I was left alone for month before I moved into some random house. I eat alone everyday. Achievement wise, my studies are getting worst. Since I extend, all my classes are different. I dont talk much to my new classmates simply because I dont want to tell them i am an extended student. As a result, I go to class, sit at the back and do nothing. I hate my course. I hated it since my first semester but I never told my parents that i disliked what i'm taking. But at that point, it was too late already to change because A LOT of money was spent on me. So I just continued. But now, I feel very lonely. very low. theres absolutely nobody that i could share this with. I dont know what to do. I am not being negative but I just dislike everything in my university life. The surroundings, my social life, my course, everything.

Acer 5050 audio/speaker problem

Hey there I really need help here. 2 days ago I reformated my pc. Installed Windows XP, the drivers from the Acer resource cd and downloaded all necessary and correct drivers. The sound is working but when I turn up the volume very high or if I plug in a headset/speaker and plug it out again, this weird and loud whistling sound comes out. I really dont know what to do. Is it because of the driver? Or is it because of the headphone hole or the built-in speakers?

And I bought a small 2.0 Logitech speaker but now that speaker is not working anymore. I realised that it was very hot so I turned it off and when I turned it off again the speaker is not working. I think my laptop is caused the problem.

I knbow this question must've been asked for a million kazillion times but I'm like so blur right now because I've searched online and still can't solve this problem.

Anyways, I reformated my pc. Installed Windows XP Pro and I already installed all the drivers from the resource cd. But after that, my laptop doesnt have no sound whatsoever. What should I do? Download codecs?
