Recently I just change my mattress to latex type. But, sleep not so well in last few days.

And this happened to my parents too. Is it because we used to sleep on spring mattress and it require some time adjusting?

My bad renovation experience with CM Kitchen

Anyone engage with them? Recently, I completed my kitchen renovation with them and would like to share a bit my bad experience with them.

First, I find that their salesman is very unprofessional and has only minimum knowledge. They only know how to push and close sales and chasing progressive payment. I only met their salesman 2 times throughout the process, which is during house visit for kitchen design and quotation and during site measurement. No one came to check on work progress and workmanship during 3 weeks renovation period.

Their salesman is also quite forgetful about my requirements and I need to keep reminding him. For example, I request hob and hood distance change to 650mm instead of their original design 600mm. Actual is only 620mm when I go to measure myself. In fact, their drawing is also very unprofessional. They don't revise the drawing based on latest changes.

They also don't think from customer's perspective. For example, my 13A power points located very close to the sink and this creates a safety concern. I realised it only when I get more info online and suggestions from other people.

Apart from that, initially I thought they are 1 stop center in which they will coordinate and arrange all renovation jobs. Instead, they just send my contact to their different contractors (quartz stone table top, kitchen cabinet, sink/washing mc water in/out piping and electricity socket layout and connection) and let me do the coordination job.

Also their overall package price is not that cheap, I believe there are much better option out there!

Burping all day

Asking on behalf of my uncle. He is burping all day, sometimes minor one and sometimes it could be loud burp. Checked with doctor no issues. Just wonder if any medication can take to stop this?

Just want to check how other companies practice if found one of the staff tested positive?

Just curious as my company don't encourage to arrange close contacts to do PCR test. Instead, they arrange those close contacts to do home quarantine for 10 days and return to work if no symptoms after quarantine.

According to my company's HSE dept, MOH also don't encourage to carry out mass testing as there is no guarantee that someone is safe and free from virus even he/she is negative.

Accept or refuse new job offer?

Hi, I just got a new offer from a US MNC today and still thinking whether want to accept the offer or continue to stay in my current company (HQ in Singapore). They offer much better remuneration package and benefits (Obviously haha) for almost similar job role but in different industry.

They practice flexi work hours & 5 days work week compared to my current company fixed work hours & 5.5 days work week. Expect more challenges, stress and higher amt of work in this new role since they are in high volume, fast pace industry.

Maybe will continue to stay in current company due to not-so-bad job prospects, familiar colleagues, job scopes & environment.

-MNC, 5 days work week
-Good benefits
-Work life balance
-Good career advancement
-Challenging job scope, kinda new to certain job responsibilities
-Clean and nice work place

Company B
-Local big company, 5 and half day work week
-Average benefits
-Often has to work late
-Being offered higher position
-Familiar with work scope as I previously worked in this company
-Workplace sometimes can be chaotic and hot

Both companies are appx same distance from my house. And they offer roughly same remuneration package

Diet advice

My current strategy to decrease my belly fat is alternating btw cardio (eg Jogging for 15mins) and home workout and control my diet. (Healthy breakfast, eating out lunch and no dinner or fruit)

After practicing this for about 1 mth, I start to see the effect. But, however, I'm losing weight at the same time and look much skinnier than before.

So should I increase my daily calorie intake while keeping my excercise routine? Or should I increase protein intake and maintain the rest of diet? Thanks
