So, the upcoming Medal of Honor is still trying to say it's authentic while showing Call of Duty-esque blockbuster moments. Some things will never change, but some things do, like a lot of the trimmings and context of this reboot's sequel.

In a nice nod to the fact video games are enjoyed by people living outside the United States, this time the action will take place all over the planet (fighting pirates in Somalia, shooting terrorists in Malaysia) and will feature allies and soldiers from all over the planet to boot.

Sadly, they're restricted to multilayer (where this time it's "blue vs blue" and not "America vs Taliban"), but there's Australian, German, Polish and British special forces mentioned, with a further seven flashing past you real fast in the trailer from yesterday.

EA also says that sections of the game have been written by actual soldiers, and "reveals the heartbreaking side of war, told through the eyes of military families". Which could only go one of two very extreme ways depending on how well they pull it off.

The tablet in question was first discovered back in 1976 by an archaeologist named J.J. van Dijk during excavations in present-day Iraq. Sadly, the tablet itself has since disappeared, but van Dijk left behind a copy of what the tablet had to say, as well as the delightfully pissy assertion that the tablet featured "very careless writing" and so was obviously the work of a student.

The tablet features a half-dozen riddles, which researchers Nathan Wasserman and Michael Streck recently analyzed for the journal Iraq. Though they call the tablet an example of "wisdom literature," meaning these the riddles were metaphors meant to impart pithy little truths. And while there's definitely an aspect of that, at least a few of the riddles sound like some very early stabs at comedy. Take this one for example:

Would it make that riddle any funnier if I told you an alternate translation for "your teeth" is "your urine"? Maybe not. Well, how about this bawdy joke about deflowered women?

Auxiliary forces.

Admittedly, that one is a bit conceptual. It's also possible that we've discovered the ancient Babylonian answer to Andy Kaufman. Either way, I want to see "auxiliary forces" as everybody's go-to punchline starting...NOW. Next up, a cutting bit of political humor:

The translation across 35 centuries does the riddle no favors, but to be fair - I can at least see how that has the structure of something we might call a joke, in that it describes the punitive powers of a governor in less than flattering terms. But enough with these warm-up acts - let's get to the headliner, the ancient Babylonian "yo mama" joke. Here it is...or what's left of it, anyway:

Yes, tragically, this no doubt devastating takedown of somebody's mother's sexual proclivities has been lost to history. Though I do appreciate Wasserman and Streck leaving it ambiguous whether the word is "who" or "what" the mother is having sex with - even in ancient Babylon, you just can't rule anything out when talking about one's mother. Or perhaps the original answer wasn't lost at all, and maybe the whole point is that nothing human or otherwise would ever deign to have ancient Babylonian sex with this poor unfortunate's mother. We may never know, but I feel confident saying this is the single most important question facing modern archaeology.

Incidentally, the oldest known joke is - and it makes me very proud of humanity to be able to say this - a fart joke. Here's a 3,900 year old zinger from Sumer:

Well, it's certainly about farts, although I suppose the "joke" bit is debatable. Then again, I shudder to think what people are going to make of what we considered comedy in the year 5,500. Except Parks and Recreation, of course - the brilliance of Ron Swanson transcends all known boundaries of space and time.

hi, im kinda new in developing c# application in azure appFabric. I just want to create web application which upload an image file and display it, so far nothing is working and im kinda stuck at it. At the click of the button, the ImageButton suppose to display the image that i've uploaded but nothing comes up. how do i solve this? Should I convert the image to bitmap first then display?

I just bought just cause 2 but when I started to play the game, it doesn't response to any button at the main menu. I can move the up down left right button but the circle and x button doesn't response. My copy is region 2 and my ps3 is the japanese version...

During the Sengoku period, there are many factions constantly at war. One of these is led by a one-eyed man named Date Masamune and another by the imposing Takeda Shingen. The latter has a fiercely loyal subordinate named Sanada Yukimura who goes head to head against Date Masamune multiple times, but the battles between them tend to get interrupted. One such battle occurs when both men try to go after another leader named Imagawa, and they’re forced to break off their heated duel when Imagawa attempts to flee the scene with his body doubles. Yukimura and Masamune go after separate Imagawas, but all of the doubles are killed by a third party, and when their paths cross again, they are in front of the menacing Oda Nobunaga and his army. It was Nobunaga’s subordinates that killed those body doubles, and Nobunaga himself proceeds to kill the real Imagawa with a shotgun blast to the head.

after reading thru the forum, somehow all of you guys discussion made me took interest in the iphone and i need a replacement for my first gen ipod nano and my dopod 838 pro..

First I'm thinking of the iphone but since the iphone cant read pdf or office file(correct me if I'm wrong)...

I need some advice here, should I just get an itouch to replace my ipod nano or just get an iphone to replace both my phone and ipod?..
