Shared pipe inside my condo unit

Hello, I am here to seek advise Im staying in a new condo (key handover Jul'20) at level 15 and recently receive call from MO that they needed to hack my toilet wall due to level 11 having leakage. They said it is due to leaking is coming from shared pipe which is located inside my toilet wall.

While I understand the pain of the unit in lower levels and have already given OK to the MO to hack my wall (I dont see any other way)....

But, are they (developer) liable to compensate me for inconvenience (wall hack being major work) or there is nothing I can do about it except welcome them each time the units in lower levels have leakage?

I'm not sure if reaching out to my lawyer helps as they are the Dev panel lawyer.

Thank you!
