            <title>WTA Burn phone port</title>

            <description>&lt;u&gt;Broadband provider&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;ISP/package: Streamyx 1Mbps&lt;br /&gt;Location: Johor&lt;br /&gt;Have you called your ISP&amp;#39;s helpline?: YES&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Personal equipment&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Modem: DLINK wireless router&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Problem details&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Problem description: &lt;br /&gt;I stay in a condo and found out that I was not able to connect to internet for few days, thus, called the tm...they sent a technician and found out that my phone port was burn...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The tech said that it was strike by lighting and need to re-wire my phone line (cost me RM150 to do tat)... then the line went back to normal...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But after few days...I cant connect to the internet again...I checked the phone port, it burn again... but my PC, modem still working fine...no sign of burn...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wanna know is anyone encounter this before? it there other possible causes other than lighting?
