Batu 3 Smartag's metal Bar fell back too fassssttt

I got the scare of my life just now exactly at 10.55am this morning as I was about to go through the the far right SmartTAG lane at the Batu 3 PLUS highway going towards.

As I was passing thru, the metal gate/bar it fell down suddenly. I couldnt stop in time (as already pressing down the accelerator hard) and rammed into it.

I saw flashes of windscreen shattered and the metal bar pinning my neck happening on my mind just seconds before I hit the it.

Fortunately, it didn't happen that way -- the windshield did not break and the metal bar swung to right immediately after I hit it.

Got out to check the car, couldn't see any damage. Asked the PLUS guy who was manning the lane what happened? He said the system was too slow ... erk.... too slow??? To me, it was the opposite... it was too fasstttt to fall back without letting the car pass through first. Duh!

However, he did apologise profusely and asked me to make reports in case there I see any damages later on. Frankly speaking, I was still in shock to inspect the car properly at that time.

Lesen L query

Hi,

I have a car license only which I got many years ago. Now, Im interested in getting a B2 or B full motor license.

But first, need to get the L license first but since I already have a car license I only need to attend the 6hours law theory class.

Went to several driving schools and most quoted RM170 to RM200 fee. I think it is a bit excessive so was wondering, instead of going thru the driving school can I just go straight to JPJ to attend the class and how much can I save?

Thanks.

Car, Van etc for less than RM4k

Hi,

Any suggestion on what kind of car, van etc that I can get at less than 4k.

This is mainly for a back up/second car so will pay cash (unfortunately, 4k is all I can afford). I dont foresee driving it everyday and if any, its longest journey probably between KL and Shah Alam.

The main concern that I hv is the maintenance cost. Ppl say that old cars require more maintenance. How true is this.

Thanks.

Waterfilter waterflow question

Hi,

Hope u guys can help me -- just to satisfy my curiosity. I used to own a normal al-cheapo waterfilter. U know the type that u can easily buy costing around RM40 with twin containers -- ceramic, thread-based or whatever filters -- that u need to change frequently.

Recently, i bought a branded Panasonic (single filter) fr a forummer.

What Im currious is the speed of the waterflow.

With old filter system, even after i've just replaced the filters, the filtered water flow out damn slow. For instance, I need to wait minutes for a normal 2lt jug to fill up. But, with the Panasonic it takes only less than a 40seconds to do so.

Anybody has any opinion on this?
