Redeeming housing loan

I'm almost finishing my housing loan. Went to the bank and found I need to ask for a redemption statement. Also, a lawyer is required. My questions:
1. They offered the bank's lawyer. Should I appoint my own one?
2. How much would the legal fees typically cost (ballpark figure/percentage) for a transaction like loan redemption?

Ownership Papers for condominiums

I bought a condo 10 years ago. Strata title not issued yet. Still on housing loan.
My question is which document says I am the owner? For cars, I have the JPJ card and it is registed in JPJ computers. What about high rise buildings?

The only document I have is a photocopy of the S&P. Not very convincing proof of ownership. Would appreciate any advise on this.

TM Point: Never ask to see manager

Last week went to TM Point to upgrade to the new Streamyx promotion 4mbps @ RM150. They have only two counters serving Streamyx customers and after 1 hour the queue have not moved much. At that rate, I'll have to wait 3 hours. So I requested at the front desk to see the manager. She gave excuses saying the manager is at a meeting. So I asked to schedule a meeting.

So off she went and came back with a gunman. He is a security guard, of course, but it was such a ridiculous sight I had to laugh. What is he going to say? "Stop! Don't complain. Or I will shoot"?

Finally, I got to see an executive who filed my complain about the gunman incidence and she also registered my upgrade. Good for me but what about the other poor customers still waiting outside? Why only 2 counters for TMNet when they have 8 in total?

Streamyx is slow and TM going downhill. You know that when one can get better service at a government agency.

Successful complain to TMNet, MCMC and CFM

Filed multiple complains via MCMC and CFM, and also direct complains to TMNet. Yesterday, a technician named Akhmal called saying he has changed my 'port', but my test shows that the performance is average. He then switched me to another port which he claims is better. On re-connecting my modem, the first thing I notice is I am getting the dreaded 115 ip range. Even if I re-connect again I will still get the 115 ip range. However, one thing I noticed is I am getting fast speeds similar to what I was getting before the APCN2 submarine cable failure of August 2009. That means downloading at over 200kBps on my 2mbps line. Even during the peak period at night, I only see minor degradation.

The line quality is something I've never seen before:
Noise Margin 33 (down) 25 (up)
Attenuation 3dB (down) 1dB (up)

All's well ends well... so far everything has been great. This is testament that filing complains can yield the desired results. Thanks Akhmal, you made my day.

However, it still troubles me. TMNet's local routing leaves much to be desired. Getting a good 'port' depends on luck. And I cannot guarantee one day another technician unplugs me from my good 'port' and plug me into a lousy port.

On Izzi's website:
"Your surfing experience is now back to speed. As promised we will extend subscribers with 7 days extension and will be uploaded within the next few days."

On April 14 Izzi had "back end internet transit provider" problems which slowed down international surfing speed. Now, they have offered 7 days extension for free. Its not a lot but... tell me, isn't that something? I didn't even asked for it. Just when all hope is gone in this god forsaken country.
