Connecting another router to the unifi router

Hi everyone, need some opinion about this matter.

I am currently using Unifi and with the standard Innacom unifi router, my android phone cannot even connect to the internet and this is kind of frustrating for me. Does it have something to do with IpV6?

I've been thinking of replacing the standard unifi router with something better like asus or tp-link, with the hope that it fixes the problem of my phone not being able to connect to the internet. Should I tweak some of the settings in the router to fix the problem or should i just replace it?

Also, I plan to add on a second router as a dedicated vpn router, using asus Rtn18u. Is this feasible? Can I add a second router to the unifi router?

Sorry if this is all confusing. Need some opinion before I proceed to make any purchases on routers.

basically its like:

modem --> unifi router/ replace with other router ---> vpn router

p/s: I prefer not to just use the vpn router, prefer some device to connect to vpn, and some do not
