Just wanna know if there are any of you who had regretted in choosing the wrong path, maybe you thought that this wasn't the right thing for you, or something else ?

Just wanted to know if there are anyone who had or is having the mentioned dilemma.

Dell XPS M1530 vs ___?

Hey guys,

I'm currently deciding on a laptop because I'll be furthering my studies overseas and so I will need something portable and also able to run most recent programmes, mainly mainstream games now.

So anyway I will need help in giving me a wider perspective in deciding between laptops, so here are my preferences :-

- Weight ( around 2.2 to 2.8kg )

- Good Specs which is sufficient to run COD4, HL2, TF2, L4D smoothly, Crysis on med is alright ( If can run games smoothly, I can deduce that it can also run movies and other programmes smoothly too right ? )

- Good graphics card, 256 GeForce 8600 GT or ATI cards ? ( I heard that ATI can bring overheating )

- Nice and clear built-in webcam and mic

- Screen size would be either 13-15 inches

- Price would be below RM4.2k

**Would be a plus if there is a backlit keyboard, but doesn't matter**

Alright I've been doing some research on Dell computers... and yes only Dell coz I dont know much about laptops brands... so I'm kinda hooked onto the Dell XPS M1530.

But at the same time I heard alot of negative comments such as premature failure and old technology and stuff on Dell computers.

At the same time good things on Sony Vaio laptops... aikz ! What about Apple laptops ? Should I just forget about Apple laptops haha !

So care to give any comments ? I would appreciate any constructive comments/criticism sooo Thanks !!!

recommend me a laptop

Hey guys, I'm kinda new here. I was wondering if there's any good laptop with a decent price?? My main purpose for this laptop is for this Guitar Rig 3 Kontrol Edition software.. Since new laptops are all vista I'm afraid there'll be more latency since they eat up a lot of ram..

My budget is around RM2500.. If there's a laptop that looks like the macbook will be better though..
