How to retrieve full resolution photos from iCloud

Previously my old iPhone space was not enough so I opted for iCloud uploading with the option “optimize iPhone storage”. Now I changed to a new iPhone and those pictures on iCloud cannot be retrieved back to my new iPhone. I cannot find ways to download them. Initially I have 4k+ photos and now left 200+.

Laptop or Surface?

Need recommendations, I'm planning to change my old laptop (XPS13 of 2008). I'm stuck between getting new XPS13 or Microsoft Surface. My main purpose is photo editing (Adobe Lightroom) and online (youtube, browsing, etc.). I prioritize the usability & also after sales service.

Please recommend which one should I go for, I'm not sure if Surface can really serve the purpose for the Adobe Lightroom. Other brands are welcomed too.

Hi all,

I have an old Dell XPS M1330 with me, aged around 8 years old. Was thinking to upgrade to new laptop but budget not allows, then I came across the idea of upgrade. Some possible upgrades I saw from crucial.com could be RAM and SSD upgrade. Do you think it is still worth to do upgrade? Everything is working fine as per now, except that it is getting slow, and Windows Vista is not compatible with plenty of things. Probably upgrade to Windows 7 or what. I'm using the laptop for photo editing most of the time.

Current specs that I can dig so far:
1. Inter Core2Duo T5550 1.83Ghz GM965
2. DDR PC2-5300
3. SATA 2 - 3Gbps 160GB
4. Window Vista Home Premium 32bit

Too many folders for pictures!

My Iphone 6 is creating too many folders that I could not track where are my pictures.

This only happens when I plug my phone to my PC, and wanted to get some pictures from the internal storage of the phone. After going inside "DCIM", it has so many folders, and all are not in date orders, just randomly throw pictures here and there. And the amount of folders keeps on increasing day by day. Viewing from the "Photos" app works fine.

May I know what is the root cause for this? Can I cut and paste all the pictures into a single folder? Will the cut and paste make the pictures in "Photos" app will be out of date order (from oldest from top to newest on bottom)?

Not only that, I would like to add the white border to the object, similar to the attachment of Big Ben cartoon (credit to ShuttleStock). Even better if the white border is not uniform following the outline of object, could be curvy (unable to find sample). How to make it?

I just purchase an iPhone 6 and will transfer everything from iPhone 4 into the new phone. Now, after I transfer, I still plan to use my iPhone 4 with another SIM card. What are the steps to sync both iPhone with 2 different iOS within 1 itunes account? I want to keep the contacts sync as well. Apps, not necessary. I will keep iPhone 4 as empty phone, just to make calls.
