Distrowatch rigged?

Hi guys,

Those who go to Ditrowatch every now and then will probably realize that Ubuntu is no longer 1st in the page hit rankings. The top distro now is PCLinuxOS. However, there is a topic poll on Linux of your choice here in LYN. Ubuntu is on top with 30% or so followed by Suse.

But anyway, I downloaded it and tried it out in VMware. It was a pretty good distro, everything seemed to work, i didnt try out everything though. But somehow i felt Ubuntu or Suse is better. But i cant say that, because I removed very fast it after i got bored with it (you cant try 3D stuff in VMware).

With that said, why is PCLinuxOS the top distro in distrowatch? How is it more popular than Ubuntu or Suse?

Please keep this discussion open. No distro trolling please.

[addedon]November 18, 2007, 10:27 pm[/addedon]There was a time when Linspire tried to rig distrowatch : http://www.osnews.com/comment.php?news_id=15726
