Bryntroll or Shadow's Edge

My toon is unholy dps dk (gs around 5.7k). Currently i'm using Bryntroll, the Bone Arbiter and have around 300 emblem of frost (plus badges from my alt).

The Sacred and the Corrupt quest really need a lot of primordial saronite. My question is, is it worth to use all my emblem of frost for primordial saronite + gold (buy it from AH) to get Shadow's Edge? or get the T10 set first?

I know Shadow's Edge will lead you to get Shadowmourne but it's not easy to get it and it's gonna take a very long time. Any advise?

I am able to download the patch and all seems well. The game goes to restart and I can put in my name and pw. It tells me I need to install patch goes through like 30 seconds since I already have the 387mb then gives me this error.

The update could not be applied.
(X) The file :\pc-hdfiles\WowError.exe: cound not be opened. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (InstallerFile::Open)
To check this installation for problems, click the "Repair" button. The Repair tool can automatically fix bmany update errors.

I have looked through the forums and tried deleteing the patch moq files, didn't work. Tried running the wow.exe as admin from the wow folder. Got a little further but still did not work. I have also tried to run the repair tool which doesn't do anything. I really don't want to uninstall and then reinstall again. I am running XP by the way.

I have no choice, I have uninstalled then reinstalled back. Still the problem not solved. If its not the pc-hdfiles error then I get the c++ floating point error. Everything was fine before this patch

So far, i think i have uninstalled and installed the game more than 5-6 times already. Been stucked with this problem since 9pm yesterday until now...arrghh (im sacrifice my sleeping hour). Please if anyone know how to solve this problem, really appreciate it.

PLS HELP...Mobo problem?

i'm using compaq presario x1000 series. bought it 3 years ago. 2 days ago when i turn on my lappy, it shows blank (black on screen) on screen but all the lights are on (power light, wi-fi, etc..). i also notice that when i turn on my lappy, the fan start running and in 2-3 sec the fan stop. then i 'open' my lappy and clean the fan (very dirty). thought my problems is solve but the same things happen.

on the next day, i bring my lappy to service centre in low yat plaza. they checked my lappy and they told me that my mobo is the problem. i been using laptop for 5 years (compaq is my second lappy) and never had a problems. i really don't think my mobo is the problem. if my mobo is the problem, my lappy sure 'totally loss'.

hope all the laptop expert can give me some advice. thanks.
