Re-installing Windows on Macbook

Hey guys and gals:

Have a MacBook here (13.3") that was installed with Widows XP Home via Bootcamp Beta. Recently, Windows has been acting up, with high CPU usage of an indeterminate source. I'm thinking of re-installing Windows again, but was wondering if it's any different on a Mac?

As in, can I just restart the macbook and hold F2 or something to have it boot via CDRom, then do the whole 'format partition and install' thing like in Windows?

Or does it have to be via BootCamp? And how can I do that now that the beta is over?

Post count rationale?

Greetings forumers,

I've read the FAQ and I know my post count is still at zero cause I've only been posting in the Consoles Couch (which is the only reason I signed up to begin with..)

My question, though, is this: What is the rationale behind excluding the listed topics (in the FAQ) from post counts?

(I'm just curious, and my zero count doesn't bother me...)

John Woo presents: Stranglehold(tm) (PS3)

Hey guys,

Just got this in the mail, couldn't find a topic so I thought I'd create one and see if anyone else got the game.

After waiting so long, my Collector's Edition finally came today and I'm enjoying it so far. The Hard Boiled transfer looks decent enough, but I'm not that much of an HD aficionado to be able to give any deeper insight. Weird thing is that the audio sync seems off at times, like a split-second delay between character lip-movements and dialog. This is for the Cantonese audio track, I didn't bother watching it in English (why on earth would anyone?! )

Sub-titles are kinda small (and sometimes completely wrong! But that's more of a 'lost in translation' sorta deal...Funny part was when Chow Yun Fatt's character tells Tony Leung "Mou hui ah!/Don't go in!" the subs read "BULLS#!T!" Wtf.)

Gameplay: If you enjoyed the demo, well then it's more of the same with the full game (which is a good thing if you enjoyed it.) Nothing groundbreaking or anything, but a decent enough mindless-action game that should entertain for a while. Framerate drops here and there, but nothing too major yet (I've only made it to the second level).

Online: Haven't touched it yet.

So, if there's anyone here who stuck with the PS3 version of the game that's interested to share your thoughts, feel free!

Should I sell HK PS3 for US model?

Hi guys, new guy here.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the issue...

I've been scouring the forums and wasn't sure where to ask this question (or if it's been asked) but I currently have a Region 3/C PS3 and was wondering if I should still keep it or sell it off and find a US model. Reason being that I currently have a lot of Reg 1 DVDs and PS2 games that won't play on my PS3, and seeing how Blu-Ray prices here are purportedly being sold at twice the amount that they should be, I might end up importing them and would like some peace of mind knowing they'll play in my PS3 right off the bat.

Anyone here think I should go through with this? My PS3's about a mth old, and I've had no problems with it at all...just feel a little sad my God of War 2, Kingdom Hearts 2, etc. is sitting there unused...

Who here recommends Reg 3/C over Reg 1/A?

Thoughts?
