OK guys..
I'm having one little [is it?] problem wif my frenz lappy....
As after i took a look at his lappy, it seems that the lappy able to turn on, you can hear the window start tune..
So it show that the lappy start up normally..
But the problem is, nothing is display..
It's actually not nothing..
At first when it startup, there's a display but only show blank screen..
The backlight somehow at first was dim and later on, the backlight starts going brighter and brighter..
So what do guys think??

Based on the outlook, seems like the lappy maybe had a drop before but the owner didn't bout it since it was given by her sister....

Can u all help me so dat i won't buy the wrong spare part for it...

Oh yes..
Is there anybody who have this lappy [acer aspire 4315] spare part..
Maybe LCD screen.. Coz i think the LCD is the one having the problem..

vista and window server 2000

Hi guys...
well noob here and i was asked from my boss.
She asked me either we need to buy da new 2003 server or stick to the 2000 server coz the 2003 server so expensive ohh (almost Rm2k).
It's becoz she's afraid dat it won't be compatible with window vista.
I've done a bit of searching and i found this post.

I have a windows 2000 server controlled domain, most of it's clients are either winXP or win98.

recently I tried to join a windows vista PC to the domain. It works ........ BUT.......... nobody else in the domain can see the vista PC!!!!

I can ping the vista PC with the server and other clients (winXP and win98), but I cant see it's network name (eg: Vista1) in the domain list. Manually typing the network name doesnt work either.

In other word, the vista PC can see and access other clients and server on the domain, but other clients and server cant access the vista PC.

the vista PC can access other client's shared folder, printers, etc. But other clients (winxp and win98) cant even see the vista PC on the domain, let alone access it's shares.

here's something else, With full admin rights, I cant even edit the vista PC's "computer description", the computer description textbox is completely inaccessible, the cursor wont even blink inside the textbox when I click on it.

what the hell??

if this is a firewall problem, it would be a really dumb one. Coz the vista PC can see EVERYTHING and ACCESS everything on the domain, but the domain cant see or access the vista PC.

could this also be "windows defender's" fault?

how can dat be possible??
or is it there's something dat dis guy didn't do to make vista appear on the network???

My main question is

Can vista be configure to connect with microsoft server 2000 or need to use the microsoft server 2003.....

here's some side question...
need to change dis pc administrator password coz forget (hehehehehe)..
somehow i use the net user administrator * in cmd, it give an error.

System error 5 has occured

Access in denied.

What's actually happen @ what is this error????
Is there any other way for me to change the password???
