Dear forumers,thanks for the previous advices on 14" Laptop...frd already settled with Asus U45Jc. However, i'm facing bigger problem now. Laptop spoiled while traveling to US, hence need to get a 15" laptop here since I will be here for another few months time.

My usage more on :
- Photo editing , multimedia (watch drama, listen to music) , standard Microsoft processing , browsing net , multi tasking
- Work ( MS SQL / Oracle database testing , coding...)
- Gaming (may try to install & try out some latest game but mostly play on desktop machine)

I have limited budget ~ USD 1.3k ++ & has been shortlisted 6 laptops. So pls provide me ur expert advice,if you have better suggestion, pls do share with me as well. Thanks & appreciate it a lot.

Dear all, headache in choosing following lappies , pls offer me ur expert advices.
Basically, the main interest will be :

(i) Watching drama , movie , listening to song & music
(ii) Nice or Stylish design (<RM4k)
(iii) Photo editing for leisure purpose
(iv) Web surfing , social networking , Microsoft Office usage
(v) 2D/ Normal online gaming

Interested Lappies :

(i) Asus U45Jc, i5 450M + Nvidia 310M @RM3299
(ii) Asus A42Jv, i5 450M + Nvidia GT335M @RM2799
(iii) Sony Vaio EA16 (VPCEA16FG), i5 520M + ATi HD5650, 1366 x 768 @RM3999
(iv) Sony Vaio CW26 (VPCCW26FG), i5 520M + Nvidia GT 330M, 1600x900 @RM3699

If you have any better choice other than the list above, pls do share with me.
Plan to get it by next week before PC Fair. So please help me ASAP.

Which 2.5" Portable HDD to choose?

Dear all, need your opinion & advice to choose between these 500GB external portable HDD. My preferences are on quality,
design and speed :-

a.)Western Digital My Passport Essential
b.)Seagate Freeagent Go
c.) Samsung S2

I love the Samsung's design but it has the lowest speed among the others. Pls advice.

I'm thinking to advice him to upgrade his memory to 4 GB , but not sure which model is compatible with his MB.

Dear Forumers, I am enquiry on behalf of my friend, is there any organization (KL/Klang Valley) offer
Private Tutoring for the TOEFL ?? My friend is from China and not doing well in English.
Since need to continue study at US in earlier 2009, so have to attend TOEFL as soon as possible.

I had check thru few threads but cannot get any information regarding this.

I also checked on Taylor, Sunway, Inti, ELS ...but most of them only offer classroom courses,
which I think not that helpful.

Please suggest me any alternative ways, in worst case kindly recommend me some organization which can offer

- Focused Instruction (fewer students, so that tutor focus entirely on you and few, you can learn all you need to know in less time than it would take in a classroom course)
- Expert Tutors (Experienced TOEFL instructors)
- Convenient Scheduling (My friend still taking full time course and may require flexible time table)

Need Advice on Notebook Memory Issue

Dear forumers,

Recently, facing some notebook memory issues and need some advices.
I have a notebook running Oracle application and I alway facing memory exhaust problem becasue only have
1 GB memory. So I decided to upgrade memory. I have few options here:-

a.) Slot 1 : 2 GB Ram ; Slot 2 : 1GB/512 Ram , Total 3 or 2.5 GB
b.) Slot 1 : 1 GB Ram ; Slot 2 : 1GB Ram , Total 2 GB
c.) Slot 1 : 2 GB Ram ; Slot 2 : N/A , Total 2 GB

I cannot have 2 GB x 2 due to the motherboard cannot support 4GB Ram
(Actually this model only can support maximum 2GB Ram but don't know why when I put in additional 1G/512 ,
it still can support).

Please advice me which option is the best and the reasons.
