New build to replace my 10 years old rig

Finally, my 10 years old rig is reaching its lifespan after replacing 2 graphic cards and 2 DDR2 RAM. Monitor also changed once. I built it with RM3.5k including monitor.

And now what happen is when i switch on the old pc, I can go to to make a coffee and grab some cookies and come back to my desk, the timing is just right for complete startup and ready to use.
Plus now is year end and is time no get a new rig for the sake of tax relief, lol

Anyway below is the component which I am looking at and need the sifu here to share some idea/comments. I am open to any brand as long as they are good and reliable.

Purpose : Online, watch movie, AutoCAD, some gaming like Civilization series, CounterStrike, racing games. I am not really into those super high detail in graphic. Perhaps medium setting is good enough.

Budget : 4k

Processor : i5 6400 - RM789
Mobo : Asus Z170M Plus - RM580 (I not sure H170M Plus is good enough for me, i don't overclock but I will need RAID for data backup)
RAM : Kingston DDR4 8gb x 1 - RM257
HDD : Kingston UV400 240GB - RM320
Graphic card : Asus GT740 2GB DDR5 - RM479
Optical drive : Use back
Casing : Coolermaster CM690III - RM399 (in dilemma with Masterbox5 as there is not much different in price.
PSU : FSP Hyper 500 Watts - RM259
Keyboard/mouse - Use back
Monitor : Dell U2414H - RM999

Total : RM4,082

Hi Guys, my current nokia is going to die soon, wanna look for a replacement already. My budget is below RM1200, below are the important items that i would like to have in my new phone.

Rims being stolen at Subang

Heck, two of my persona stock alloy rims being stolen this morning at Subang beside MAIN ROAD. Subang area security really ****.
By the way, currently I have no idea where to get the replacement and the price also. Can someone here give me some ideas where to get stock rim and the market price as well. I will consider the 2nd hand rim if the price is attractive.

Replace faulty GC

Hi All,
I found my GC got problem, when Dota-ing, my computer will suddenly black off.. But it is doing good with movie and internet surfing.

Here is my rig:
Processor: Intel E6550
Mobo: Gigabyte P35 DS3
GC: XFX 8600GT XXX (faulty)
HDD: Seagate 160GB
RAM: Kingston PC5300 1GB x 2
PSU: Acbel Active PFC 450W (come with 6-pins power supply for GC)
PC usage: I am not hard core gamer, just do some light gaming only.

My budget for GC is RM 300+- only. I have some concerns here:
1. Go for ATi or NVIDIA? I saw some new Nvidia model GT2xx, I totally have no idea what the hell is it.
2. Is my power supply can support the GC?
3. Prefer with GC with good cooling system.

Please advise.

Tint Workmanship

Hi guys,
I just tinted my car. And I found some defects due to poor workmanship of the tint shop. When the shop just finished tinted my car, I did an inspection and found some bubblers and small dust at every wind screen and windows. These defects are not so noticeable but if you take a look carefully then you will find them. I questioned the worker. The workers answered that it is normal to have these small defects and some other shops even worse. The shop also said need to explose the new tint under sunlight for a couple of days, but now already 1 week, those bubblers still there. And the back wind screen is getting worse, some bubbler started to form along the demister line.

I just wanna to ask, is that normal to have these small bubblers and dust? Attached some defects photos. I need some advises from you guys. Thanks in advance.

Second hand car

Hi all,
I have a question here about second hand car value. I heard people said the second hand value is mainly based on the age of the car, condition second (unless your car got severe problem).

The year of the car means the car manufacture date or date of purchase? Assuming I buy a car in Jan 2010 and the car is made in 2009, then the second hand value is calculated based on year 2009 or 2010?

Computer black off after 5~10minutes

Hi all,

I am having problem with my desktop now. It will black off after about 5~10 minutes running.

Initially i suspect is virus problem, so I deleted my hardisk and reinstall my Windows XP. But same thing happen when i am installing a fresh copy of Windows XP. In this case i suspect is hardware problem.

Does anyone experienced this problem? Or anyone knows what's the problem?

I have a problem with Excel formula...here is my formula:

=IF(G7<20,20,IF(G7<25,25,IF(G7<32,32,IF(G7<40,40,IF(G7<50,50,IF(G7<65,65,IF(G7<80,80,IF(G7<100,100))))))))

If i use more than 8 number of "IF" in a single cell. If cannot work.
In my case, i need more than 8 "IF" to complete my whole formula.
For example, below is the formula that i want to use, it contains 10 "IF". How to solve this problem?

Laptop Harddisk is not runnning

This morning i open my laptop and found it is not working.
I took out the harddisk and put it in my external harddisk casing, i found the disk is not turning already.
I got some important files inside the harddisk, is there anyway to recover my files?

Limited or no connectivity! (solved)

Dear all valuable advisors,

Weird situation happened to my lappy. I plugged in the LAN cable to my port, it shows "Limited or no connectivity" to me.

I tried to plug in the same LAN cable to my friend's lappy, he can access to internet without any problem.

FYI, i compared our TCP/IP Properties, our setting are the same. Both of us are set to Obtain an IP address automatically & Obtain DNS server address automatically.

Please help!!!!

I'm getting a 22" LCD. I found that Samsung 2253BW is very cheap. It is cheaper than 226BW and 2232BW.
Another thing is 2253BW contrast ratio (8000:1) is much more higher than the 226BW and 2232BW(3000:1). Just wondering why the price is so cheap..

I'm getting a M-ATX size computer. But are all the M-ATX motherboards come with integrated GC?

I'm not familiar with M-ATX stuffs Can someone give me some guidances on what are the aspects that i shoud care of when building a M-ATX computer. Like the external GC cannot fit into the small casing. And also, What's the pro & con of M-ATX??

Racing Game Wanted
