Hello,

I come across the Fibre to the Room (FTTR) Promo and I am thinking to ask for the installer to pull the "transparent fiber" to my 2nd floor study room.

1) Anyone know any reliable installer?
2) When the fiber terminated on my study room, what kind of device I needed? I have a SFP switch next to my Unifi Modem if it help.

ARC Audio Return Channel

Hi,

I recently bought a Samsung NU8000 Smart TV.

HDMI 4 is ARC capable and I connected to my Yamaha RX-V473 HDMI out (ARC Capable)

After few days trial and error here is what I concluded

If I remove my HyppTV and Android box from V473 or TV, I have 100% success rate

If any of my HyppTV and Android box connected to TV or V473, I only have 80% rate. Yes, it work 2 out of 10 times. TV is detected my ARC and v473 but the audio just didn't play through my V473.

It is how ARC work?

Hi,

I am getting a recond car with a dealership.

The car price is RM166,000 and I'm loaning RM150,000.

The dealer submit my application of my loan with my car price is RM225,000 and I have to force to getting minimum sum insured on my car @ RM190,000

So, can I argue to sum insured my car @ RM160,000 because I only owe back RM150,000?

Hi-Media HD600A has serve me very well all this years but it not able to decode H265 and I can't view the latest anime I downloaded.

My minimum requirement is Gigabits LAN + decode H265 + reasonable price.

Hi,

I recently signup a dealership on Sept 2014. I pay for the membership for the dealership is RM1000 yearly. I sign the agreement stating RM1000 yearly to maintain the dealership. I deposited funds of RM1000 into their system. No refund is given.

On January 2015, i received an email saying to maintain the dealership, the price is up RM3000 yearly. I do not agree on the say RM3000. I request to discontinue my dealership and asking for refunds on all the funds in my system.

My point is, you sign me up Sept 2014 with agreement on RM1000 yearly for the dealership and within few months, the price is up RM3000. I have discuss with my account manager for almost a month and there not agree to refund to me.

Did I have a case here? How do i seek help for any authority?

Running out of IP Address

Existing network
IP : 192.168.0.x
Subnet : 255.255.255.0
DHCP

We have lots of notebook users with "sometimes" occupying 2 IPs. And for now, everyone is getting smartphone and occupying another IPs. We are almost running out of IP.

How do I increase the IPs with minimize configuration.

Here is my idea, please advise it work or not.

Increate my DHCP server:-
IP Range : 192.168.0.50 to 192.168.1.254 (IP < 192.168.0.50 is for print server, servers, cctv, etc)
Subnet : 255.255.254.0
Total IP : Estimate 510 IPs - 50 Fixed IP = 460 IPs

Qs: If my left my existing configuration on my printer server (192.168.0.10/255.255.255.0), the workstation having 192.168.1.100/255.255.254.0, is they can print to the server.
