Need advice on Semi-professional Camcorder

Hi all,

I'm looking for a semi-professional camcorder and would appreciate your valued contribution.

My budget is below RM8500.00 and some criteria would be :

1 : Able to take good indoor video. My effective shooting range would be about 40-50 meters, and the stage is approx 40 meters wide. Light condition can sometimes be low, but most of the time, it is under florescent lighting.

2: Able to use outdoors where battery life must be reasonably long.

3: Recording can be HDD or Tape. Easily editable. (Some people tell me that MPEG-2 format is easier to edit that in MPEG-4 format. Is this true?)

4: Plenty of spares and good after sales service.
